Saint Posted 24 November, 2009 Posted 24 November, 2009 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/portsmouth/8377374.stm lol Pompey
krissyboy31 Posted 24 November, 2009 Posted 24 November, 2009 Never thought I would actually feel sorry for a P*mpey manager but what exactly was he supposed to do?
CB Saint Posted 24 November, 2009 Posted 24 November, 2009 Not entirely surprised although who the hell is gonna take that job on... Either they have sorted out the money and they have something to offer a new manager or the farce contiues
Spades Posted 24 November, 2009 Posted 24 November, 2009 i fear they may get a decent manager and turn their season around...... pffft as if!
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 24 November, 2009 Posted 24 November, 2009 Never thought I would actually feel sorry for a P*mpey manager but what exactly was he supposed to do? Agreed. Wonder if he fancies a new coaching role?
mcjwills Posted 24 November, 2009 Posted 24 November, 2009 Not entirely surprised although who the hell is gonna take that job on... Either they have sorted out the money and they have something to offer a new manager or the farce contiues He is already there his name is Avram Grant, due to get a work visa for this country in 2 - 3 days time. Well what a suprise there
red&white56 Posted 24 November, 2009 Posted 24 November, 2009 As much as I enjoy Poopey's misfortunes, this one isn't enjoyable.
CWD Posted 24 November, 2009 Posted 24 November, 2009 Never thought I would actually feel sorry for a P*mpey manager but what exactly was he supposed to do? Absolutely he's been treated disgustingly by some of their more moronic fans
Window Cleaner Posted 24 November, 2009 Posted 24 November, 2009 Not entirely surprised although who the hell is gonna take that job on... Either they have sorted out the money and they have something to offer a new manager or the farce contiues Loads of decent managers will fall over themselves to get the job,Pompey are in the Prem after all and because there are so many crap teams this year their position is by no means disastrous, well not yet, one win will put them back in the pack. Must be a handsome wodge involved as well. They'll get someone decent.

He doesn't seem to mind working in a job, where he has no idea if he's going to get paid from one month to the next.
wild-saint Posted 24 November, 2009 Posted 24 November, 2009 Personally I thought was a decent manager and was starting to turn decomposed sows ear into err slightly less decomoposed sows ear. Obviously the said sows ear was full of inbred tossers before and after his involvement. Overall I think the guy talked very credibly when interviewed. anyway no sleep lost zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

chrisobee Posted 24 November, 2009 Posted 24 November, 2009 He is already there his name is Avram Grant, due to get a work visa for this country in 2 - 3 days time. Well what a suprise there He is the favourite with the only bookies to price it up so far, 6/4 at Victor Chandler. So if you think Grant is the man that's not a bad price. Rednapp and Adams both 50/1.
chrisobee Posted 24 November, 2009 Posted 24 November, 2009 Absolutely he's been treated disgustingly by some of their more moronic fans Agreed, he is better off out of it !
Saint J 77 Posted 24 November, 2009 Posted 24 November, 2009 Loads of decent managers will fall over themselves to get the job,Pompey are in the Prem after all and because there are so many crap teams this year their position is by no means disastrous, well not yet, one win will put them back in the pack. I really hope they get another dud, who promises alot but delievers relegation In all seriousness I actually feel sorry for Paul Hart, its not like he had much of a chance to have any success. Maybe they will go for Burley? Now that would be funny!
krissyboy31 Posted 24 November, 2009 Posted 24 November, 2009 Agreed, all is not lost for them yet - they could yet survive. A certain Mr Grant is not too far away either. They've ruled out Grant getting the job according to SSN.
chrisobee Posted 24 November, 2009 Posted 24 November, 2009 They've ruled out Grant getting the job according to SSN. Darren Ferguson, 6/4 now from 11/1 ! I always find these managerial changes amusing as most of the time the man appointed comes from nowhere and the bookies make a killing !
saint lard Posted 24 November, 2009 Posted 24 November, 2009 George Burley anyone? I would not be surprised at all.
saintwarwick Posted 24 November, 2009 Posted 24 November, 2009 Darren Ferguson, 6/4 now from 11/1 ! I always find these managerial changes amusing as most of the time the man appointed comes from nowhere and the bookies make a killing ! Wasn't he "sacked" because he was apparently talking to a premiership club?
alpine_saint Posted 24 November, 2009 Posted 24 November, 2009 George Burley anyone? hehehehehe. Pinch me....
saint lard Posted 24 November, 2009 Posted 24 November, 2009 Avram Grant will remain as 'director of football' he can't become manager/coach due to not having the pro license.
Saint_Jonny Posted 24 November, 2009 Posted 24 November, 2009 hehehehehe. Pinch me.... love the DP alpine, gotta love morg! At least I think it was morg..
mcjwills Posted 24 November, 2009 Posted 24 November, 2009 It must be Maradonna and all the Argentine team ready to sign in January
chrisobee Posted 24 November, 2009 Posted 24 November, 2009 Wasn't he "sacked" because he was apparently talking to a premiership club? Not heard about that, assumed it was just the fickle nature of Football clubs that as Peterborough are bottom of the CCC they sacked him despite his previous success.
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 24 November, 2009 Posted 24 November, 2009 Not entirely surprised although who the hell is gonna take that job on... Either they have sorted out the money and they have something to offer a new manager or the farce contiues May the farce be with them!
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 24 November, 2009 Posted 24 November, 2009 Bring back Graham Rix! Is he a paediatrician then?
Window Cleaner Posted 24 November, 2009 Posted 24 November, 2009 I really hope they get another dud, who promises alot but delievers relegation In all seriousness I actually feel sorry for Paul Hart, its not like he had much of a chance to have any success. Maybe they will go for Burley? Now that would be funny! They'll go for someone who can handle all the non-English players they've got there.Hart obviously couldn't. Some of them are half-decent as well but that's no bloody use if you've got a manager who doesn't have a clue how to use them.I suspect they may get a European manager in
saint lard Posted 24 November, 2009 Posted 24 November, 2009 (edited) Loads of decent managers will fall over themselves to get the job,Pompey are in the Prem after all and because there are so many crap teams this year their position is by no means disastrous, well not yet, one win will put them back in the pack. Must be a handsome wodge involved as well. They'll get someone decent. Whoever it is they are going to have to be happy with a DOF working alongside them or even above them. Would Coppell,Curbishly,Mancini or someone established and with some standing in the game be happy with that. Up and coming new kid on the block methinks is quite possible,oh and cheap. Wonder how much it cost to relieve Hart of his position? Edited 24 November, 2009 by saint lard
Joesaint Posted 24 November, 2009 Posted 24 November, 2009 He was holding that team together, thought he may have a chance even with the dross he had. I mean what bwas he supposed to do and you say Grant wants to take over (wont make any difference) they play 4 top teams soon and what did AP say about loosing mentality?
saint lard Posted 24 November, 2009 Posted 24 November, 2009 Hart turned down the Technical Director role. Blimey DOF,Technical Director and then a manager, are they about to come into some cash?
gaz Posted 24 November, 2009 Posted 24 November, 2009 It wouldn't surprise me if they went for Dennis Wise.
bridge too far Posted 24 November, 2009 Posted 24 November, 2009 Mr TF says there's some talk of Nigel Pearson  Can't see it myself.
saint lard Posted 24 November, 2009 Posted 24 November, 2009 SSN say that Hart is considering a position within the youth set up.
krissyboy31 Posted 24 November, 2009 Posted 24 November, 2009 SSN say that Hart is considering a position within the youth set up. No. He was offered the Technical Director role, working with the 16-21 year olds but turned it down and has left the club.
