1/ Crap reception all the way through the game

 

2/ Barely starts before the game starts .. no pre match build up / team news.

 

3/ HT no reception at all ... not sure

 

4/ Post match reaction ... SFA zilch, bugger all not a sausage .... yet here I am listening on the Norwich link 30 mins after end of the game listening to the Norwich phone in ... SO WHY CAN"T WE PROVIDE THIS SERVICE.

 

Can't be arsed to get the email link but please a concerted effort to express our disappointment with Saints Player MatchDay offerings.

 

Exclusive .... is it ferk. Or maybe it is ... exclusively BAD :(

It's time to stop b*tching and do something.

 

Other team feeds start earlier, end later, and don't cut out. It's frigging infuriating.

 

We need to contact either the Club or Solent or both, because I'm sure they both get a revenue share. My hunch is that Solent is the problem.

 

The question is, who can we all e-mail to get this permanently addressed?

solent was fine. haven't subscribed this year. A lot of money for a poor service, I feel for the far away fan getting them self ready and settled to listen to the game only to recieve start's and stall's.

Yeah It was very poor again today, Ended up listening to the Norwich feed, which worked fine, which leads me to believe that the problem is at Saints end. It has been poor for much of the season to be fair.

Okay it is now over 1 hour after the end of the game I've heard interviews with the manager, the captain and one of the goal scorers ..... all on the Norwich link to the match .... PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS SFC , why do I pay good money to get an inferior service to what other league 1 teams are receiving. :mad: :mad: :mad:

 

Anybody who has links or wants to forward this to whoever has the power to sort this out please feel free you have my blessing. :mad:

I've just bashed off a response on the contact us link, hopefully it will go to somebody with at least half a brain cell.

 

Will post any replies on here (maybe even my original message if I can figure out how :p (Highly unlikely with my computer skills :()

 

Maybe SaintsPlayer could employ me as an IT Specialist :cool:

Which "contact us" link?

 

If it's James.Harding@performgroup.com, or anyone else at that address, I wouldn't waste your time.

 

They said back in August that they were working to fix it.

 

I think the problem originates at Solent because they're the ones that open and close the feed.

The link goes to Saints Player, but who exactly I don't know.

 

The late / early cut off link up is a real issue for people outside the Uk due to broadcast rights etc., but also people in the Uk shouldn't have to log off and then log on to Radio Solent's UK site.

I couldn't even get Saints Player to work today (again). I am 99% resolved to cancelling the subscription some time in the very near future!

I have to subscribe to saints player as due to copyright laws I cant get solent down here in Perth. Yes its absolute rubbish, reception cut out every few minutes.

KO time is 11.00 pm here so I went to bed at half time.....couldn't be bothered to put up with the crap reception !

We're paying a lot more money for a much worse service.

Try watching some of the highlights as well and the sound is out of sync, the camaras are all fuzzy etc. It's terrible.

Maybe SaintsWeb should do another whip round and do their own service ;)

I cancelled the service very soon after trying it out.

 

never tried matchday service as i'm lucky enough to get to home games and most aways.

 

I wanted to see how good the mid-week content was and to see extended highlights...

 

After a few days, it became clear that the service is of very poor quality. "three camera highlights" came with no audio at all... the normal commentary regularly got the names of Saints players wrong (!) and "will's weekly round-up" is just so cringe-worthy to be embarrassing.

 

Give the job to a local school/college who are doing media studies and they'd do a much better job!

 

Not value for money at all. They even managed to screw up my cancellation and charge me anyway! I soon got that refunded! Outrageous!

How do you go about cancelling the service? I brought it when I lived in Shrewsbury but now i'm back in Southampton and haven't missed since Oldham so not much point in me having the Saints Player and if I recall it was pretty crap during the last game I used it for away to Southend

you login and go to the "account" tab, i think... or settings?

 

one of those has the option to cancel from there. it gives you a box to tell them wy you're canceling too, if enough people made use of that, perhaps things would improve?

If the level of service being provided by a supplier doesn't match the level of service advertised at time of purchase then one is entitled to a refund.

 

Consumer law and all that.

When I complained, I pointed out that this happened a couple of weeks ago too, and that both times the 'away' commentary is fine.

Saints player took my money, so it is their problem to fix, not radio Solent's.

 

I am also fed up with the crap commentary, and cutting to other games all the time, as well as the lack of build up and post match talk, and that IS down to radio Solent though.

 

Check out the online highlights from the game - the 'commentator' explains at the start that 5 years ago, Saints v CHARLTON was a premier league game, FFS!

 

Bottom line: I think more people need to complain more often.

Been very good today apart from a couple of glitches about 15 mins before kick-off.

 

I agree that the content is generally pointless though but I don't mind paying £4 a month for commentaries whilst I'm away from Soton.

I thought that, but after signing up I found out I can listen to the games on the radio here in Bournemouth, so have now changed my tune and feel I am paying £4 a month for commentaries I can also get for free....what a tool.

well, you think YOU'RE a tool.......i signed up for it yesterday thinking that it was a service where you could WATCH the matches!!!! #-o...how gutted was i this evening when i realised that it was JUST commentary!!!!! i live in Southampton and am NEVER away from Radio Solent reception area!! D'OH!!!!! my cancellation request is imminent!! :roll:

Classic. They are now running highlights of the commentary over the top of the bloke reading out all tonights results.

BTW I got the error 2 message a few weeks ago - turned out my subs had expired. didn't get a reminder or anything. Paid for another year and it was back on in 5 minutes. go to my account tab and check expiry date?

I remember being astonished that I could listen to te match on the internet 6/7 year's ago, since then the price has increased and the service decreased at the same rate.

 

It would have to improve a great deal for me to re-subscribe. Bit of a weak link between the club and their fan's.

Actually come into work and realised they sent an email out at 7 last night changing my username - so the account works fine now but why on earth change it and at that time of night :(

Same as me, but only realised AFTER I phoned them up. Quite embarrassing :lol:
