PES Posted 14 September, 2008 Share Posted 14 September, 2008 According to the reliable People newspaper: http://www.people.co.uk/sport/football/tm_headline=pompey-poised-for-arab-bid%26method=full%26objectid=20736741%26siteid=93463-name_page.html It appears some arabs want to invest in Pompey, I'm not so sure about the 'authenticity' of this report and personally would oppose any move to turn Pompey into a 'fantasy' football team, it's empty and fun for all of five minutes. bridge too far Posted 14 September, 2008 Share Posted 14 September, 2008 But Sacha won't be able to cash in on the sale of FP if he sells up now. I thought that was the whole point of him buying your club :smt102

I hope your right TG, however I dont agree with the on the way down bit, were building nicely and I'm really excited at the thought of bringing on some of our own players (Gary O'neill accepted) for the first time in about 15 years! Apart from the prices I'm fairly happy with the way things are going.

Eyes k8 Posted 15 September, 2008 Share Posted 15 September, 2008 Arcadi Gaydamak lists Pompey as one of his assets, values us at £300m, says the new ground will be built in conjunction with Dubai Royal Family and that it will be in new hands before completion. This sounds entirely different from the People's made up story,

IMO 100M tops!
Corporate Ho Posted 15 September, 2008 Share Posted 15 September, 2008 I've been told that there are three bids on the table for Pompey. One is a Thai group, one is a Russian guy whose name I've been told but won't repeat on here (he's very, very wealthy though - we're talking multiple billions) and the third is in all likelihood not arabs but Hong Kong Chinese - again mega Billions. Good to see what Stuey said - that mega rich investors wouldn't be lining up to buy Pompey - coming true isn't it? He's a genius that Stuey
Deppo Posted 15 September, 2008 Share Posted 15 September, 2008 Surely there should be an investigation now that Gay**** senior has revealed that he owns the club and not his son, as they led everyone to believe. The FA idea of a fit and proper person is a joke, I'd love to know what you'd have to have done to not qualify...
