Hi guys,

 

Just a quick one about energy suppliers.

 

At the moment there is apparantly a company going around telling customers that the southern electricity distribution network owned by Scottish and Southern Energy has been bought out and so you have to change your meters and whatever company you are supplied with to theirs.

 

This is not only illegal but complete tosh. Please please if anyone comes around and says this do not believe it, and also feel free to phone up Ofgem and report whomever has attempted this.

 

Remember, your energy supplier is your choice and you will always will be free to choose, whomever owns the distribution rights.

9 times out of 10 it is the fault of the sales person, not the energy supplier, if they come out with nonsense like that. Most energy suppliers hire sales reps to cold call and some of them will try or say anything to get the sale. You'd be surprised how often it works too.

 

Always take the name of the sales person and report them. Without the name it's worthless.
