lordswoodsaints Posted 15 November, 2009 Share Posted 15 November, 2009 We need to concentrate on our own performances, what is the point in fretting over what other teams are up to,we cannot influence their results. Winning every game = winning the league win most of your games and you have a chance of promotion start on -10 and win a load of games and you will probably end up mid table. Tokyo-Saint Posted 15 November, 2009 Share Posted 15 November, 2009 we should conentrate more on the play-offs more than surviving, its easy to stay up! 50 points should be enough to stay up at the end of the season, we are currently on 14 with 31 games to go. that could be 12 wins to stay up, losing 19. or if we draw loads, we still need to slip up more than 19 times in the last 31 games, that aint gonna happen. at least 12 teams in the league must drop points every week, sooner or later, the top 6 will. as long as we keep winning, we'll be fine. simples

That is about where we would finish if we averaged the same form over the next two-thirds of the season. In view of the poor start and improved squad I would expect us to finish a few places higher than 15th. I'm off to the game now, so let's see what another three points does to our position! :partyman:
saint lard Posted 15 November, 2009 Author Share Posted 15 November, 2009 After todays result this is why i am quite happy for the teams currently around us to keep losing. I'm not overly concerned about what goes on at the top end of the table, just want to get clear of the threat of relegation. Nothing is nailed on.
