oxfordshire_saint Posted 13 November, 2009 Posted 13 November, 2009 Looks like Fergie did well avoiding shelling out £30m+ for him, he sounds like his head isn't exactly in the right place for giving his all at Man City: http://www.goal.com/en/news/9/england/2009/11/13/1623191/manchester-city-striker-carlos-tevez-considering-retirement
saint_bert Posted 13 November, 2009 Posted 13 November, 2009 For all his workrate at Man united his goal scoring record last season wasnt that great. Maybe didnt play enough games, but io he is not a "natural" finisher and not worth 30million
Andy_Porter Posted 13 November, 2009 Posted 13 November, 2009 I think that's just goal.com making a story out of nothing, pretty sure he's talking about international retirement?

Pretty much every other news outlet ran with it too, he talked about maybe going back to play for Boca Juniors instead.
skintsaint Posted 16 November, 2009 Posted 16 November, 2009 massively overrated anyway...very much doubt he would retire that young though.
hamster Posted 17 November, 2009 Posted 17 November, 2009 massively overrated anyway...very much doubt he would retire that young though. His name sells shirts and fills column inches though, sadly that's all too often the major consideration for megabucks clubs. can you imagine what Kevin Keegan would caots saints at today's prices? Doesn't bear thinking about does it, especially as KK was twice the player that Tevez is imho.
