saints_is_the_south Posted 13 November, 2009 Posted 13 November, 2009 Just had an email from David Luker - 19k sold so far including 2k away fans. Expecting a gate of around 23k.
Liquidshokk Posted 13 November, 2009 Posted 13 November, 2009 Just heard a rumour they are doing tickets for £5, can anyone confirm?!?
saints_is_the_south Posted 13 November, 2009 Author Posted 13 November, 2009 This is great news! Will be an excellent attendance for this league, especially since the game is on TV also. Always said it though, people will come & watch a winning team whatever division we're in, if we can keep this run up through till xmas & new year we'll be getting gates of atleast 25k every game imo. I reckon for Norwich next week we could be looking at 25k + if we can get a good result on Sunday. By the time we come to play Leeds at SMS next March I'd expect 30k fo sho. Anyway, hopefully the sh*t weather won't put people off going to get tickets tomorrow, or indeed coming to the game on Sunday.
red&white56 Posted 13 November, 2009 Posted 13 November, 2009 Just heard a rumour they are doing tickets for £5, can anyone confirm?!? I hope not, I paid £22.0 for mine !
Block 5 Posted 13 November, 2009 Posted 13 November, 2009 I love it when we get higher attendances in league 1 than our fish fiddling neighbours down the road get in the Prem.

mcjwills Posted 13 November, 2009 Posted 13 November, 2009 I hope not, I paid £22.0 for mine ! Hmm strange that, its OK for us season ticket holders to have to put up with reduced price tickets, but not the people that pay as they go, I'll quote all the bull poo i listened to last season, would it no be great to fill the ground, lowering the prices will encourage more to come, even though you have paid more just be glad the ground will be full

St Will Posted 13 November, 2009 Posted 13 November, 2009 I would pay £40 if 32,000 promised to pay a fiver and the ground was full. The extra £18 would be worth it for the atmosphere!
Saint Posted 13 November, 2009 Posted 13 November, 2009 It will be great to see around 23k there, and i reckon 25k+ for the Norwich game could be a reality too. (Sad not to be going). I think 30k for Leeds is pushing it slightly but you never know.

Tractor_Saint Posted 13 November, 2009 Posted 13 November, 2009 Depends on the wethaer if we get near 23K Depends if it's going to rain as well Weather will be fine - trust me, I'm not a doctor.

I think 30k for Leeds is pushing it slightly but you never know. I honestly think Leeds will be a sell out. Particularly if we are really pushing by then. If memory serves, the 3-4 game in the first season down was a sell out. Will be great to get 23k on Sunday, really wish I was going Brighton fans are probably the best ive seen at St Marys
StDunko Posted 13 November, 2009 Posted 13 November, 2009 Just heard a rumour they are doing tickets for £5, can anyone confirm?!? Yes I can confirm that tickets are £5 (But only if you are under 16 years old and accompanied by an adult pay the full price.)
ericofarabia Posted 14 November, 2009 Posted 14 November, 2009 no rain Sunday http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/11?area=SO50 Actually you are probably right, how often do they get things right?

Saints Warrior Posted 14 November, 2009 Posted 14 November, 2009 If your in row E like I am you get soaked, so get a ticket in row J onwards to be safe, then you can wear just saints shirt or your red and white vest!!
StDunko Posted 15 November, 2009 Posted 15 November, 2009 Any update on number of tickets sold? I'm hoping for 22K+ Which would be great for a third div game on the box. The wind and rain seems to have passed and it's now nice and sunny (here in Chichester at least). So we should get a fair number of people walking up on the day.
