Great album, 'How You Like Me Now?' is an outstanding tune, check it out here http://www.theheavy.co.uk/ Yage - 'The Woodlands of Old'. Dark and spooky stuff from Amorphous Androgynous' producer. Bibio - 'Ambivalence Avenue'. Beautiful. Gorgeous. Clever. Hudson Mohawke - 'Butter'. This sounds like an explosion at a soft toy factory whilst Outkast are being given a guided tour! King Cannibal - 'Let the Night Roar'. Some excellent programming. Very fierce indeed. Quite unsettling at times. Wildbirds and Peacedrums - 'The Snake'. Amazing female vocals coupled with some serious percussion. Fantastic. I wanted to add best re-issue of 2009 which has to be The Soft Machine - 'The Soft Machine Volume 1'. This has finally been remastered and presented on it's own, rather than coupled with Volume 2. A classic slice of psychedelia by a truly inspirational band. This is in my all time top 10, it p1sses all over 'Piper at the Gates of Dawn'.
Bentley Posted 9 January, 2010 Posted 9 January, 2010 Promotional copy of Contra by Vampire Weekend was given to me today. It's very good.
Bentley Posted 9 January, 2010 Posted 9 January, 2010 Bugger, thought this was the 'what are you listening to thread'.
exile on main street Posted 11 January, 2010 Posted 11 January, 2010 My faves of the year: The XX Dr Dooom 2 Venus Smiles Raekwon - Only Built for Cuban Links Pt 2

It's bloody good anyway. Just got hold of Oneohtrix Point Never (on your recommendation) ........ and it is rather good. Thanks for that! Do you happen to have a copy of this? If not, and you want to hear it, PM me and I will sort something for you (digitally).
the stain Posted 13 January, 2010 Posted 13 January, 2010 Not familiar with that, no. You're about to have PM.
