Ekelund24 Posted 13 November, 2009 Share Posted 13 November, 2009 Beattie never missed for us, neither did Pahars or Rasiak. When we had that mare against Watford last year, was that the first we had missed since Le Tiss v. Forest? Dont include the shoot-out at Derby. No Magilton missed one I think!!!! vico Posted 13 November, 2009 Share Posted 13 November, 2009 i think there is the best part of a 8 year gap berween saints missing a penalty which is surely some record. Between matt v forest and magilton v west ham? Maybe only 1 miss in about 12 years or so. Would be interesting t know
Arizona Posted 14 November, 2009 Share Posted 14 November, 2009 Beattie never missed for us, neither did Pahars or Rasiak. When we had that mare against Watford last year, was that the first we had missed since Le Tiss v. Forest? Dont include the shoot-out at Derby. McQ missed one at QPR in our first CCC season. That was the first one we'd missed since Mazza's miss in an FA Cup shoot out. I'm not sure when this shootout was, I just remember is was quite a while and in that time Beattie, Matty and Pahars had all maintained a 100% success rate. Vignal and Kenwyne had a 100% success rate for us later on down the line. Other misses include: - Stern John at home to Norwich (absolutely dreadful, if the goal was twice as high, it wouldn't have gone in) - Euell at home to Blackpool, same season - Rasiak in the Cup against... some lower league team, can't remember who. The rebound was also saved, but he knocked it in 3rd time round - Those two we missed against Watford last year. - Surman scored one and missed one at Donny last year.
