NickG Posted 11 November, 2009 Posted 11 November, 2009 playing in this team so Pardew told him at half time today
SNSUN Posted 11 November, 2009 Posted 11 November, 2009 Hope he copes with the pressure. Though with goals going in from all areas of the pitch, at least it's not vital if he doesn't...
NickG Posted 11 November, 2009 Author Posted 11 November, 2009 he has said himself he is aiming to beat 30 goals
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 11 November, 2009 Posted 11 November, 2009 Didn't think he had a great game today, think he may have picked up a knock early on, but he still managed to score- he's class.
St Will Posted 11 November, 2009 Posted 11 November, 2009 he has said himself he is aiming to beat 30 goals He'll have done that by the middle of February
the saint in winchester Posted 11 November, 2009 Posted 11 November, 2009 Didn't think he had a great game today' date=' think he may have picked up a knock early on, but he still managed to score- he's class.[/quote'] Yeah, he was crunched early on - and they were continually fouling him. So loved his goal to get them back! Was that Christian Dailly who held on to him? Got the yellow card. Should have been red.
St Landrew Posted 11 November, 2009 Posted 11 November, 2009 playing in this team so Pardew told him at half time today Yes, I heard that too. Lambert obviously thought, OK boss, one goal coming up. If he carries on at this rate, he'll became a proper Div3 legend, and take his place alonside a few other Div3 Saints heroes. Let's hope he can quickly become a Saints Div2 hero too.

Spot on. One of the best signings we have made in a long time. Looks as though he can easily score a goal a game at this level. "Rickie Lambert Southampton goal machine!"
Saint_clark Posted 12 November, 2009 Posted 12 November, 2009 On the TV it seems our fans are still struggling with the actual WORDS section of his chant.
Rasiak-9- Posted 12 November, 2009 Posted 12 November, 2009 I wouldn't worry about it putting too much pressure on him. Pardew is a good man-manager and I'm sure he put a lot of positive spin on the way he said it, letting him know just how good he is and how much he really is capable of.
