Lambert should be disappointed if he fails to score in a game

Hope he copes with the pressure. Though with goals going in from all areas of the pitch, at least it's not vital if he doesn't...

Yeah, he was crunched early on - and they were continually fouling him. So loved his goal to get them back!

Was that Christian Dailly who held on to him? Got the yellow card. Should have been red.

playing in this team so Pardew told him at half time today

Yes, I heard that too. Lambert obviously thought, OK boss, one goal coming up. ;)

If he carries on at this rate, he'll became a proper Div3 legend, and take his place alonside a few other Div3 Saints heroes. Let's hope he can quickly become a Saints Div2 hero too.

Spot on. One of the best signings we have made in a long time. Looks as though he can easily score a goal a game at this level. "Rickie Lambert Southampton goal machine!"

I wouldn't worry about it putting too much pressure on him. Pardew is a good man-manager and I'm sure he put a lot of positive spin on the way he said it, letting him know just how good he is and how much he really is capable of.
