Legod Third Coming Posted 14 November, 2009 Posted 14 November, 2009 By my reckoning we need to win 26.55 games out of our last 31 to average that 2.57 and end up as champions. As good as we seem to be in this league, I don't see that happening. But we can certainly make the playoffs. We need 20.56 wins (and no draws) to end up with 74 points. But I don't think it will take that many points to finish sixth this year because there seems to be more equilibrium in the top 2/3 of the division. Now look what you've made me do. Good work. I reckon winning 27 games (since I don't think we can win half a game!!) is possible. Tough but possible. We need to focus, not get carried away and to be able to handle the pressure that will inevitably build towards the end of the season.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 15 November, 2009 Posted 15 November, 2009 I think we're allowed a couple of draws away at Norwich and Leeds TBF Errr Brighton home?
Dalek2003 Posted 15 November, 2009 Posted 15 November, 2009 WE ARE STILL IN THE RELEGATION ZONE. Can we get out of this before we start giving ourselves grand labels ! As I was saying....
Leicestersaint Posted 15 November, 2009 Posted 15 November, 2009 We still have some big problems to solve.
Legod Third Coming Posted 15 November, 2009 Posted 15 November, 2009 We still have some big problems to solve. I don't think so. Yes, today was a shambles. But nothing I witnessed today bore any resemblence to the previous games.
Norm Posted 15 November, 2009 Posted 15 November, 2009 ...And if not the best then the 2nd best behind Leeds . It's just nice to say and I'm loving seeing us scoring tons and rolling these supposed "promotion chasers" over. The MK Dons game was my favourite so far but this was good too! Still think that? Brighton could have had 5 today. Our defence was like my gardening jumper, full of holes.
SNSUN Posted 15 November, 2009 Posted 15 November, 2009 Still think that? Brighton could have had 5 today. Our defence was like my gardening jumper, full of holes. Even Man Utd and Chelsea lose at times. I wouldn't read too much into defeat today. Yes we were poor defensively, but if we pick ourselves up and win the next game, it will all be forgotten.
hypochondriac Posted 15 November, 2009 Author Posted 15 November, 2009 Still think that? Brighton could have had 5 today. Our defence was like my gardening jumper, full of holes. We were awfu today. Lets see what we're like next week before jumping to conclusions.
Saints foreva Posted 15 November, 2009 Posted 15 November, 2009 We are nowhere near one of the best teams in this league. Dropping points to Brentford, Colchester, Bristol Rovers and now Brighton at home proves that.

Dropping points to Brentford, Colchester, Bristol Rovers and now Brighton at home proves that. Colchester and Bristol Rovers are one of the better teams in this league, and when we played Brentford we were a new team learning. No excuses for tonight, we were urine, but by the end of the season I still feel we will have more goods than bads.
Thedelldays Posted 15 November, 2009 Posted 15 November, 2009 Still think that? Brighton could have had 5 today. Our defence was like my gardening jumper, full of holes. well, charlton are the second best team in this league and have been beaten this season...wowzers
hypochondriac Posted 15 November, 2009 Author Posted 15 November, 2009 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Deluded fools. Great contribution. Cheers for that.
Norm Posted 16 November, 2009 Posted 16 November, 2009 well, charlton are the second best team in this league and have been beaten this season...wowzers Not sure I get your point. I don't have a problem with us losing a game. Are you agreeing or disagreeing with the OP's post? He wrote that we were the BEST team in this division. I disagreed before last night and I disagree now. And you?
