Saints v Charlton second half chat.

That late goal may have made it a bit nervy, but it made it another 10 points in the Prediction league :)

Really should have been 4 or 5 nil tonight. Thought we were superb at times. Must pay credit to Lallana, was critical in the past but tonight he was superb.

I thought we were distinctly average and sloppy but nevermind!

Comfortable win and i watched it on Sky via the internet (thanks guys) for the first time ,to be honest i don't think Saints really moved into first gear and had a lot more left in the tank were the best team all night ..

Lallana played real well the boy's got a very good future if he keeps his head down...

Bart looked OK although not a great deal to do..Good to see Thomas and Ricky score again.

You have got to be joking. Some of the passing that was pinging around at speed, early in the first half reminded me of the Premiership.

You're having a laugh mate. We would get beaten by 70% of Championship sides playing like that. Pardew agrees with me.

Strolled it. Lallana and Lambert a different class.

How on Earth are we going to keep Lallana in January??

For the same reason that Alan Pardew kept him at Saints when he got here. He said he'd win a title at Saints, and to stay and improve with the improvement with Saints.

I think we better than that but not superb.

When Charlton started to attack second half we were a little sloppy I agree hoofing it out of defence straight to a Charlton Player.

Yes, of course. But I still have the videos of the Premiership of Saints when they were in the Prem. And the passing and speed wasn't as crisp as it is now. Of course, the opposition makes a significant difference.

Obviously, I'm talking about the speed and shape, within this division.

Harding mom for me. Morgan was excellent in 1st half, lallana had a good game. Jaidi looked a little shakey 1st half but improved 2nd - the opposite could be saved for Thomas who looked a little shakey at right back.

Feel a bit for Bart he only had 2 saves to make all night.

Very pleased another win shame we could not keep a clean sheet again but we are certainly entertaining these days!

Ok, fair enough.

I just think we have played a lot better than that this season.

The GF popped in to watch some of the game and made the comment of the year

OMG what's happened to them, now they are playing football and are really quick

Have had A/C flu all week and not able to sleep so wasn't going to stay up... but

OK we may have been off the boil but heck 8 games in a row now isn't it according to Munto on Sky?

Looking forward to Nickg's post on that tomorrow

My MOM Adam Lallana.....class followed by RL and Big Wayne.....But a very big mention for Dan Harding.......He is a great player and will continue to improve...A real Left Back..

Well done Saints.

COYRs.

I thought Harding was excellent going Forward but not so sure about his Defence.

I dont think he is great yet but will probably improve as you say and be with us for sometime

Pardew interview disappointed that we got sloppy again, questioned how far can we go his reply we just want a winning team & a winning season & see where that takes us maybe a cup final or a play off final(yes please,) would it be greedy to hope for both.

He looked really hacked off at the end. Would have loved a clean sheet but never mind.

just to clarify, is the wembley final between the 2 southern teams? or nothern and southern?

Wembley final is between the winners of the Northern and Southern finals.

It goes from now on...

Semi Final (same format as the other rounds)

area final (2 legs - home and away)

and the final at wembley. (winners of the 2 area finals)

finally a win on TV, another curse broken.

my faith is growing with this team and manager all the time, saints of old would have conceded a secound goal at the death, but this time played it out well, admit i was nevous at the end but that comes from being a saints fan!! cmon saints!!

yes you have to remember we have beaten Charlton and MK Dons in recent games who are 2nd and 3rd in League 1, I reckon our current side would give a good account against ANY Championship side
