He should have left at the end of last season as it was clear they had massively overachieved. He'll pick up the Hull job or something similar in the winter Premiership cull, I expect.

Whoever gets him will be getting a very promising, & so far very successful young manager. He will not be out of work for long, & its Peterborough's Loss. Really is a bone head & crazy decision but just so typical of the crazy instant success that football craves.

Their chairman is clearly a massive dinlo. His stated ambition is for them to be in the Prem

What a ridiculous sacking. Back to back promotions and apparently they have the lowest wage bill in the division.

I can't imagine that they will be able to loan any players from Man United anytime soon either. Seems a very short term decision IMHO.

I could just about understand it if he was given a wedge to spend in the transfer market, but according to soccerbase these are his signings so I can see why they have the lowest wage bill and are struggling:

Toumani Diagouraga Hereford

Tommy Rowe Stockport

Lee Frecklington Lincoln

Danny Mills Crawley

Romone McCrae Crawley

and loans:

Krystian Pearce Birmingham

Danny Rose Tottenham

Ryan Bennett Grimsby

Scott Griffiths Dag & Red

Ben Amos Man Utd

Apologies to Posh just listened to the Posh chairman on talk sport, and while he wouldn't criticise DF & wouldn't give to much away. It seems this has all been engineered by DF.

Correct. It appears the Hull job (new (returned) chairman) is sorted out.
