dubai_phil Posted 9 November, 2009 Share Posted 9 November, 2009 lol There are in the region of 320 active "Threats" to your computer out there. Standard Anti Virus software gets somewhere over 12 of them... The world of AV is changing. The worst culprit is Adobe Reader, it has been hacked, you download it and they are in. Don't worry nick, I know nothing about this but it is very scary, a mate does this AV type work for a living and what he showed me scared the pooh out of me. Be careful ALL the time. dubai_phil Posted 10 November, 2009 Share Posted 10 November, 2009 i would have thought anyone doing internet banking should have concerns about hackers and viruses, if they can get into the last few words of your sentence? Mate went to an E-Crime conference about 3 weeks ago. One example was X thousand NHS medical records being sold to marketing companies in SE Asia so they can target individuals directly with Spam emails for specifc medication for their ailments. Anyway you guys have got bigger problems http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/politics/lawandorder/6534319/State-to-spy-on-every-phone-call-email-and-web-search.html Now, even with all the AV software and Firewalls, just how can they find out so much about you? And it REALLY isn't a clever trick to go one further and capture the actual screen shots of every page you go onto. The Emperor's New Clothes is one phrase I have heard lately. Just be careful
