Footballfan Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 What will the attendance on Wednesday night, with the game on Sky that will reduce it a bit
ericofarabia Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 12345 would be good, but as it is on the tellybox and it will probably be cold and some people wash their hair on Wednesdays it cold be less
fish fingers Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 11,111 including 119 from Charlton. That'll be 69 more than they took to their cup game yesterday
Iowsaintsfan Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 That'll be 69 more than they took to their cup game yesterday Lets hope for the same result!
krissyboy31 Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 If it had not been on the box I reckon we would have got around 16k. Maybe 12k!
Iowsaintsfan Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 Only a tenner if you book by tomorrow - get yourselves down there, will improve your chances of a getting a possible wembley ticket (if we get there)
Toomer Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 That'll be 69 more than they took to their cup game yesterday Did they rest any of their first choice players yesterday?
krissyboy31 Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 Did they rest any of their first choice players yesterday? They were pretty much at full strength. Their reserve GK played but he prevented them from getting a real thrashing.
Sour Mash Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 That'll be 69 more than they took to their cup game yesterday You're joking? That is truly s**t!
MorningtonCrescent Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 The "upper tier" of the Northam stands - Blocks 39-42 - are sold out. Not sure how that will translate into overall attendance, but I'd hope that'll mean we get at least 14k. Not bad for a JPT match.....
brianoneils slidingtackle Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 lets hope that we have a good turn out for this, good night of entertainment on offer !!
JRM Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 You're joking? That is truly s**t! Had a quick look on the charlton website and it is just reporting the total attendance and does not mention the number of away fans, however, judging from the tv coverage i would say there was about 200 Charlton there (at the very most) split between behind the goal and a few in the seats on the side. I can't see them bringing more than 300 on Wednesday night with it being on tv, quite a funny guide to "southampton away" apparently we play in an out of town ground which isn't near many pubs - http://www.charlton-athletic.co.uk/newsview.ink?nid=35089

altoniansaints Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 14,999 (would have been 15,000 exactly but i`m working wed night :-()
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 Only a tenner if you book by tomorrow - get yourselves down there, will improve your chances of a getting a possible wembley ticket (if we get there) I doubt people will have that much difficulty wil they? Obviously I assume if we get that far the club will give priority to those that have brought JPT tickets, but I doubt 'average Joe' will find it too difficult.
altoniansaints Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 look like live on intraweb too http://www.myp2p.eu/broadcast.php?matchid=55326&part=sports
saints_is_the_south Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 Just under 9,000 sold so far according to David Luker.
westofshannonsaint Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 Charlton fans don't seem too pushed, this was the on page 4 of their forum (they are an unhappy bunch after recent performances ) http://www.charltonlife.com/forum/comments.php?DiscussionID=29660&page=1#Item_0
RedAndWhite91 Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 Upon being asked how many tickets Charlton had sold so far, one poster replied "500 of which 450 now wish they hadn't ;-)"
saints_is_the_south Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 Upon being asked how many tickets Charlton had sold so far, one poster replied "500 of which 450 now wish they hadn't ;-)" Didn't expect them to bring that many tbh, considering its on TV.
jawillwill Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 9,352 including 197 away fans, 2,771 women, 2,005 children (1,646 of which are boys), 12 disabled people and a guide dog.

Wes Tender Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 9000 ish at about 3.30pm according to the ticket office when I bought my two. Tickets only available in Kingsland North or Itchen South, as other stands either sold out or not open.
Bucks Saint Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 9,352 including 197 away fans, 2,771 women, 2,005 children (1,646 of which are boys), 12 disabled people and a guide dog. how many left footers?

Tickets only available in Kingsland North or Itchen South, as other stands either sold out or not open. Northam sold out then. Chapel & Kingsland are closed.
RonManager Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 Kingsland Blocks 34 & 35 now on sale. Northam sold out then. Chapel & Kingsland are closed.
krissyboy31 Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 Original Announcement. • Itchen fully open (not including blocks 1-3) • Northam 40-42 for home and appropriate blocks for away fans • Kingsland 36-39. Further blocks will be opened in the Kingsland Stand should numbers dictate.
saints_is_the_south Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009  Kingsland north is open & i believe as posted above they have just opened 2 blocks in the actual Kingsland stand. Originally only the Itchen, Northam & Kingsland north were on sale.
brianoneils slidingtackle Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 who has said that Blocks 34 and 35 are open, cant see anything on the Saints web site ?? or is it word of mouth
iansums Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 9,352 including 197 away fans, 2,771 women, 2,005 children (1,646 of which are boys), 12 disabled people and a guide dog. Wrong, the guide dog is washing his hair.

I've never used it myself but somebody ought to tell thir 'official' site if it is'n't....
JRM Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 I don't know why they don't open Northam blocks 43 and 44 for home fans as well and move along the netting / segregation down on the concourse, clearly would be a popular area to go, they are opening the turnstiles and refreshments stands of that stand anyway, with the angle of the cameras in the Kingsland stand and Charlton's tiny away following it will look like only the Itchen is open to people watching on tv. Will be interesting to see how the other games go on Tuesday night, i hope Northampton beat MK Dons and we get them away in the JPT area semi final as it's about time we got them in a cup draw
Lets B Avenue Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 who has said that Blocks 34 and 35 are open, cant see anything on the Saints web site ?? or is it word of mouth Only in that the word came from the very nice mouth of the lady in the box office, when she sold me my usual seats at 2.30. HTH I put this in as post #28 and Ron Manager quoted me in post #35. Am I on your ignore list and ifso, why?
brianoneils slidingtackle Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 No, you are not on any ignore list, in fact I look forward to your posts :-) Just wanted to know where the info came from, but I can see that by booking online that sections 34 - 35 are open. Cheers
Lets B Avenue Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 Thanks Bri. You sliding tackle was the highight of Saints in the early seventies. Would earn far too many Red Cards now though.
Saint_clark Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 Argh - I do want to go to this but can't really afford to.
Whitey Grandad Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 Any night except Wednesday and I would be there. It'll have to be Sky Plus for me.
theyin Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 a fiver for seniors? that's a steal, maybe an older crowd might be attracted to what could be a great game. Invite that old neighbour who doesn't get out much and feel better about yourself (just walked through a barrage of Age Concern street Nazis)
Block 5 Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 I tried to get 5 tickets in the Northam today. Not a chance. Had to go for block 35 (as Let's B Avenue said in earlier posts).
SNSUN Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 I don't have Sky so I'm not going to be a lazy sod and kick my folks off their TV, I hope to be making my way down for this one. I assume tickets will be for sale on the night - I'll ring the ticket office tomorrow.
Mr X Posted 9 November, 2009 Posted 9 November, 2009 9,352 including 197 away fans, 2,771 women, 2,005 children (1,646 of which are boys), 12 disabled people and a guide dog. could you be more specific please
