She is a quite rediculous human being, but is a rather inspired business woman and self publicist. Enough pond scum with nothing better to do 'enjoy' following her escapades.

What I find disturbing is that my neighbour's 9 year old daughter seems to be obsessed with Jordan/Katie Price, and seems to hold her as some sort of role model, and not the business side of her character either!

You could be well in there in a few years then.

It's not Katie Price I wonder about. It's the hundreds of thousands of no-brains who have helped put her in the elevated position in the first place. What do these people find so bloody fascinating..? My advice to those people is to stop oggling celebrities and go and do something exciting with your lives, just once in a while.

Over the course of years, on and off, I've had the opportunity to take a few closed-eyed teenagers sailing. Each time, they were complete sheep types, with little or no independent thought. To be frank, they were living, breathing, cheap celebrity magazines. The first time the wind filled the sails, and we started surfing, you could see their eyes light up. Sure, it was potentially frightening, but they were actually experiencing something for themselves. For their sakes, I hope the lesson lasted.

It annoys me that certain tabloids would rather put stories about her love life on the front page of the newspaper instead of actual news. The public's love affair with the D-list celebrity is a sad reflection of contemporary British society and culture, or lack of it.

And on that note, I was annoyed this morning when I saw the Daily Mail have nothing on the front page about Remembrance Sunday, but instead posed the very important question, who won the lottery last week?

FFS.

As long as mongs continue to buy the appalling magazines/tabloids that publish her tales she will continue to exploit it.

She apparently also has her own range of quilt covers!

Because, and this is the really sad bit, people watch it.

Well this is the point. Loathsome creature she may be, but she isn't quite as deserving of pity and ridicule as the utter morons who actually buy cheap rags like Heat magazine to read about her.

What's worse is the fact there is now a whole TV show dedicated to her failed popstar ex-husband's desperate attempts to stay in the public eye. Seriously, are there actually people out there whose lives are so empty and meaningless that they feel compelled to watch this drivel?

I really despair for the future of mankind sometimes. Reminds me of the 'rise of the idiots' thing in Nathan Barley.

Do you think anyone who watched any of the soaps/chat shows etc have empty and meaningless lives - bit of a sweeping statement imho.

My God, in a sense, what you have said there is what I have been saying for a long, long time. Even if you go for a night out on the town, its hard to find anyone who hasn't looked like they've come straight off a TopMan/TopShop conveyor belt. Same dress sense, same haircuts and I've also found, little individuality or personality.

Whatever happened to independent thinking or finding yourself and becoming an individual in you're own right?

Unfortunately there are enough people that watch this inane drivel on the tellybox that results in her getting air time.

Even though she is an odious, pathetic, self centered, smear test of a human being.

However, IMO, fortunately half the reason that she is getting air time at the mo is because she is now managing to piece by piece tear apart the fan base she some how managed to scrabble together. Don't get me wrong, the whole scenario annoys me but i have to watch as the missus does so something like this is normally on in the background.

Fair play to Peter who seems a genuine guy, and doing the right things. Katie is a poisonous human being that has surrounded herself in the wrong people and being shown up as the c*nt she has always been.

Fortunately the missus also hates her.

I would suggest that anybody who deliberately tunes in to ITV7 (or whichever channel it's on) to catch up with the latest goings on in the life of this pathetic media-whore, really needs to step back and re-assess the direction in which their life is going. Just my opinion.

and a big 'yes' to Pete from me also. Most of us can always tell a wrong 'un from a right 'un and the chasm between him and her is staggering.

I agree the obsession some people have with these celebrities is soooo weird.

Grown men being obsessed with their favourite footballers however is completely normal...

oh go put your teeth in granddad.

Exactly when was this golden age when kids didn't dress, act or talk like their mates?

I think they are braindeads of the highest order if that counts. Each to their own though yeh? Next question please ... ;)

I hate the celebrity, reality tv, x factor obesessed country we have..

Who give a **** who is going into the jungle, who is a shyt ball room dancer and if john and Edward will stay in the show...

The x factor one grips me the most. The charts might as well be run by Simon cowell, as most of the crap out seems to be something to do with him or his show (apart from Leona lewis, who is a genuine talent)

Completely agree. The pundits would say, well then don't turn on your telly, radio, other media and then you won't get it.

Well I try to, but the bloody crap just keeps finding a way into some tiny corner of my life. This thread is just an example. ;)

I agree about the shallow celebrity obsessed world we live in, and I don't get the Katie Price thing. The fact that a slag like her has got so popular just by getting her norks out and ****ging celebrities is a sad reflection on our society.

X Factor is good TV though, the music is utter garbage but the show is more about making "normal" people's dreams come true. It's just a game show, and it's fantastic watching some telentless mong have their life's dream crushed on live TV.

He's just as bad in his own way, soppy c**t living out his and his children's lives in front of a tv camera, I can't stand any of them.

Anyone who hates "Jedward" seriously needs a life. Yes they are crap singers with stupid hair, but it's just a f**king TV tallent show.

I laugh my arse off every Sunday night when they get through and suddenly I have 50 outraged status updates on my Facebook homepage. :D

And yes, Jordan is a stupid tallentless moose with a boob job. I often wonder if people really actually give a sh*t about her private life, or they are just told to by Heat magazine and want to conform with their friends.

Peter Andre is scarcely any better IMO. Days after his split I was met by his stupid mug telling me to read his exclusive story in the Dailly F**k knows what.
