St Will Posted 8 November, 2009 Share Posted 8 November, 2009 I'm having trouble registering my website to google. I've done my website on iWeb, so there's no way of playing with the html to do the meta tag thing that google tell you to do in their Webmaster thing. I've tried those free engine things to register to all the search engines but still nothing comes up. I'm not massively clued up with all this kinda stuff, so any help would be much appreciated! Webby Posted 8 November, 2009 Share Posted 8 November, 2009 I assume you're using a mac. What's the site? When did you publish it. It can take a little while for google to index your site. A sitemap file can help.
Baj Posted 8 November, 2009 Share Posted 8 November, 2009 The two things you need to do in order for google bots to index your site asap, is a) provide a link to your site on a 3rd party site that is regularly crawled by google and b) submit your website via an xml sitemap within googles webmaster tools. Simples. If you need more professional assistance then PM me, as 1/2 my companies business is search engine optimisation.
