I am happy too.

I just dont think we need a smart-arse telling us how many games we have gone without defeat, since we are all Saints fans as much as him and know it already

You seem to have a habit of reminding us of our defeats so why shouldn't we remind you of our wins, works both ways you know :D

That's right, have a go at me. I'm just agreeing with what someone else posted. You wouldn't hear a peep from me if it wasn't for Alpine's pathetic posting....he's the root cause of all this, so don't give me ****. At least some people actually have the same viewpoint as I do. NOBODY thinks Alpine's consistent moaning is necessary. Just cuz I actually stand up to him and tell him the truth...

will...FFS

leave it..did you need to comment on that post..? no

just leave it for the sake of the message board..if the MODS feel that alps is going OTT they will deal with it like they have done before and do all the time..

just leave it mate

FWIW, TDD, you're different. You have acknowledged our turnaround and are posting accordingly, hence why you no longer get stick from me. It's not a personal thing, even towards Alpine....I paid my fiver to talk about Saints. Why should I have to read someone's Meldrew-esque rants, when they are completely unfounded.

that is a fair point....it really is..for what it is worth, I tend to agree with Alps more than not..(shocker) but you have to try (i did get banned for not doing this) to look past the posts that wind you up....or put certain posters on ignore...

let the mods be mods and just post away

Agree. Many of us guilty of getting personal.

Think have to accept that some like to play to a certain image, probably don't even mean what they say - are not looking at basing posts on football or what they have seen and judged.

If you don't like it - we should all just move onto the next post.

Think the 7 day one showed how people really feel.

James or fit Murty for RB anyone?

You know the brutal truth about optimism or pessimism is that whichever standpoint you prefer it will make precious little difference to any outcome in the real world , least of all the performance of a football team .

But you wouldn't think that to read this forum sometimes , as soon as you post something questioning or dare to be critical on here you get jumped on as if you've just uttered a heresy or are complicit in some conspiracy to undermine the club - a 'Thoughtcrime' as George Orwell so memorably put it . I can only conclude that those who find others skepticism threatening for some reason are probably insecure for all their apparent confidence.

If the usual suspects showed a little less intolerance of minority opinions on here and just concentrated on putting their own view across instead then this place might be a more civilised place for all .

It's a sin to kill a Mockingbird - they do no harm .

Well, yes for the fan in the stands probaby, but absolutely 100% NO for the players. Its all about what's in the mind. They all have enough techinqe to get by, but whether the brain wins or loses is ALL about optimism.

If on this Remembrance Sunday I may digress away from football or petty arguments on the Internet for a moment I'm thinking of all those fine lads who went 'over the top' on the Somme or at that living Hell they called Passchendaele and my truth is that whether they went into battle in a optimistic or pessimistic state of mind would have probably have made no difference whatsoever .

Sorry if that sounds downbeat but that's how the world seems to me sometimes .
