Staines yoof is on the out. It's the Slough slags you want to watch out for...

Ah, the Maidenhead United chant....

"We hate Slough and Slough Town, we hate Slough and Slough l

we hate Slough and Slough Town, Slough Town we hate you, dum dum dum,!"

....

To the tune of "Land of Hope and Glory"

Any of you who have read Nick Hornby will understand...

the worst possible team at home so we can rest some players

Agreed but we rest the whole first 11 for risk of injury from a bunch of non-league kickers. Frankly lets ditch this and the JPT to focus on consolidation and rebuild for a foundation to storm this league next season. For the first time in a long time cup games simply hold no interest whatsoever and I wince seeing the likes of a fragile Connolly playing on Friday night. He is one of the players who could possibly help us achieve a slim chance of 6th this season as he has looked different class with his movement and anticipation. Why put in an aggressive cup run and destroy our absolute No 1 priority?

A mid ranking League two team away where I haven't been. Preferably up north.

As long as it's not Bury as we only just managed to see them off at home 2 seasons ago under the watchful guidance of Crouch and his right hand man. What was the statement? Something like 'Dodd and Gorman are the right decision for this club...........' as decisions go it wasn't right for long.;)

Indeed....following on from a previous Chairman who made similar quotes regarding Gray, Wigley, Sturrock, Redknapp, Portaloo and Wotte !!

agree with this ..I would not want to lose to charlton in the JPT..I think it would be great for the team to have a day out at wembley..

as for the FA cup....I would rather we did not enter this season..

watching the FULL team play friday night in those conditions was not my cuppa...

should we lose lambert, we would be well and truely stuck IMO....

but then again, football works in funny ways..

connolly (from what I have seen) is a great "fox in the box" type of striker...a great partner for lambert..

Surprised at so many people wanting an away draw in the FA cup. True, we can expect to win away to anyone in the next round, but home advantage makes that more probable and means a gate of over 20,000. The uncertainty of the draw is one of the great things about the FA cup - and was a factor in getting to the Final in 2003. If this year the draw gives us a chance to see how this Saints team performs against a premier league side, that would be very interesting. Lets be the first Div1 side to get to the Final.

Its pretty simple, away games are fun and St Marys is dull.

Personally I want a non league or London away. Don't really care though these draws are nearly all dissapointing.

Harding and Trottman are both now on 4 bookings, Hammond on 3. I spent some time last night trawling the FA site to find out whether bookings are 'competition specific' but no luck - anybody know? With Norwich coming up soon we need these two in the team.
