Window Cleaner Posted 7 November, 2009 Share Posted 7 November, 2009 Antonio's goal was Henry-esque. quite a nice ball out of defence as well, good control, left foot finish, classic, simple well taken goal. Some players would have shirked the left foot and tried to get on to their right foot, this was instinctive. bungle Posted 7 November, 2009 Share Posted 7 November, 2009 I can see myself looking unenthused during the goal celebrations. Conducting some business, I expect.
Rory Posted 7 November, 2009 Share Posted 7 November, 2009 Great run and a decent finish at the end of it. You should have come with us Rory. I would have loved to but was working. Carnival night, you see.

sandwichsaint Posted 7 November, 2009 Share Posted 7 November, 2009 Antonio's goal was Henry-esque. If that goal had been scored in the Champions League this week they would still be showing it now! Awesome! Pace, power, control, thinking it through, and a really cool finish .. absolutely top draw! Just watch him move it inside off his right (wrong) foot and finish first touch with his left ... first class.

Tractor_Saint Posted 7 November, 2009 Share Posted 7 November, 2009 "too many" for goodness sake, "too many"..... :-) Too much, too many, what flavour I drank wasn't the problem - it was the quantity of alcohol so, therefore, surely that's too much alcohol? So why's it too many G&Ts when G&T = alcohol = too much alcohol. Time for bed me thinks. Night night from RC (and RC is just fantastic - apart from being a PO postcode thanks!) RonManager Posted 7 November, 2009 Share Posted 7 November, 2009 Bringing up the topic of the perceived value of kicking towards your own fans, it certainly worked bigstyle for both teams last night!

Saint Fan CaM Posted 9 November, 2009 Share Posted 9 November, 2009 Having seen the penalty decision against Gobern I have to say that was very, very soft. The guy literally collapsed like a sack of spuds when Gobern was really only doing what many other defenders do - i.e. containing the player between his arms, but not actually holding him. Mind you, pretty silly thing to do when there is no real reason to do it and the ref was probably waiting for a chance to 'liven things up'. Sounds stupid and you would think they would have the simple hardware or software to mix in the crowd noise easily. Blimey even I have software to do that.
