beatlesaint Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 How good was Antonio's goal ? And Connolly's finishing shows his class. If he stays fit he will be a big player for us in the next 2-3 years
equalizer Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 One glitch from the satellite the whole ****ing game, and it had to happen then!!!! Yeah the picture froze, then when it came back the players were celebrating a goal, it was almost like watching ITV!
Baj Posted 6 November, 2009 Author Posted 6 November, 2009 Yeah the picture froze, then when it came back the players were celebrating a goal, it was almost like watching ITV! Ah.. wasnt just me then

krissyboy31 Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 Yeah the picture froze, then when it came back the players were celebrating a goal, it was almost like watching ITV! ITV probably missed the goal as well!
Saint_clark Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 Well off topic but not worth starting a thread over, does anyone know how to cancel the text update thingy? I have tried texting stop to it a few times but they keep sending me scores and team news which I don't need, let alone want. It's costing me a fair bit.
St Landrew Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 Well done, Baj. Nice recovery on the 3rd goal too.
Justin C Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 Anto is ace sign him up before he gets too expensive.
Under Weststand Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 Cheers Baj class goal from Antionio showed good pace, & strength to hold the defender off good cut inside & a really cool classy finish.
theyin Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 You the man Baj. Three spledid goals though you've got ask what the Rovers defense were up to with the 2nd.

Micky Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 Well off topic but not worth starting a thread over, does anyone know how to cancel the text update thingy? I have tried texting stop to it a few times but they keep sending me scores and team news which I don't need, let alone want. It's costing me a fair bit. If it's the Orange service text 'southampton goals off' to 177 or you can call them on 277 - I think...!
Pat from Poole Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 Ah.. wasnt just me then I had exactly the same. Also the crowd noise was a fraction of a second ahead of the action, so you knew if a goal had gone in from the noise before actually seeing the ball hit the back of the net. Annoying, but still better than nothing I guess.
Saint Stimp Posted 7 November, 2009 Posted 7 November, 2009 Many thanks Baj, good work. Wouldn't mind seeing the Bristol goals though....................................................... anyone?
lamanga Posted 7 November, 2009 Posted 7 November, 2009 ...and a large fries with diet coke to balance that out pls.
tonibell Posted 7 November, 2009 Posted 7 November, 2009 cheers Baj. the more you see antonio..the better he looks. Same from me thanks
Bailey Posted 7 November, 2009 Posted 7 November, 2009 A good win against decent opposition. We should have seen the game out and gone on to win 3-0, but a couple of lapses in concentration gave Rovers a sniff and they almost took their chance. Full credit to Paul Trollope's side, they never gave up and pressed us right until the full-time whistle. Special mention to Connolly and Antonio too! They were both first-class and looked very lively, despite the fact the latter was at fault for their first goal. I'm very much looking forward to seeing who we face in the 2nd round now, and a home tie really wouldn't go a miss!

SaintRobbie Posted 7 November, 2009 Posted 7 November, 2009 I hope we sign Antonio... class player at this level... class.
yarb101 Posted 7 November, 2009 Posted 7 November, 2009 Can't get that to work... keeps going Russian on me! Thanks for the link, great to see all 3 Saints goals in one video
jasoneuelllfanclub Posted 7 November, 2009 Posted 7 November, 2009 this link shows all 5 goals albeit in some foreign language. http://eurorivals.net/highlights/bristol-rovers_v_southampton_20091106.html
Stanley Saint Posted 7 November, 2009 Posted 7 November, 2009 Thanks Baj. I was trying to watch it upstairs whilst cooking my tea downstairs. Luckily, the time-delay meant I could hear the goals on solent, run upstairs and see them 'live' just after. Burned my pork chop to buggery, though.
lutz Posted 7 November, 2009 Posted 7 November, 2009 Thanks Baj Was out last night,so had to keep going outside to check the score. Can't stop watching the goals and even sounds great in that language!!
Asaint4ever Posted 7 November, 2009 Posted 7 November, 2009 Well off topic but not worth starting a thread over, does anyone know how to cancel the text update thingy? OldNick Posted 7 November, 2009 Posted 7 November, 2009 thanks Baj perhaps you could send it on a dvd for me ........oooooooh
ericofarabia Posted 7 November, 2009 Posted 7 November, 2009 Mucho appreciated Baj, only got up at lunch time after a heavy night last night, but already feeling better after watching that Reading must have a team of world beaters if Antonio can't even get into their reserves . That cut inside and the strength on the ball was something to marvel at. Am I right in thinking that he is a free agent at the end of the season? He certainly seems to be enjoying himself here and it brings me so much pleasure to see genuine happiness and enjoyment on the pitch from all the players as well the fans as off it. I'll be walking around with a permanent cheesy grin on my face all weekend.
RonManager Posted 7 November, 2009 Posted 7 November, 2009 when you 1st text them they send you a text saying thanks for signing up and a number to cancle your textes. An old Medieval punishment? as in .. 'You there serf, if you do not pay your taxes to the Sherriff by midnight, you will suffer cancleing of the textes, and let that be a lesson to you'.
Wilko Posted 7 November, 2009 Posted 7 November, 2009 I can see myself looking unenthused during the goal celebrations.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 7 November, 2009 Posted 7 November, 2009 Thanks Baj. Gotta say the 2nd and 3rd goals were absolute quality. Connolly and Antonio are the real deal. We HAVE to sign Antonio in January - he is going to be a total menace in this league and the CCC.
LostBoys Posted 7 November, 2009 Posted 7 November, 2009 I cannot believe that Reading will let us keep him on showings like I saw last night. I expect they will offer us Rasiak back
Andy_Porter Posted 7 November, 2009 Posted 7 November, 2009 Antonio's goal was Henry-esque. Great run and a decent finish at the end of it. You should have come with us Rory.
