Minsk Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 Glad that immediate tactical restructure was implemented. Was really worried for a minute. Exactly! Gobern was tried at LB for the reserves midweek (to latter end of the game) and did okay. Pardew likes Mills at LM, so probably hoped Gobern would be okay there tonight as well. Obviously he wasn't, so Pardew changed it IMMEDIATELY. The more I see and hear of Pardew the more I like him. Oh bugger, penalty to Rovers and 3-2. Come on Saints get a 4th now that my 3-1 is screwed!!!!
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 James doing well in keeping ball up there end.
Colinjb Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 94th min, free kick to Saints in a Rovers corner, must be over.
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 We should have scored a 4th there! But never mind, we're through!
Colinjb Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 VICTORY!!!!! Sweeeeeeeet victory. Hellls yes.
VectisSaint Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 Excellent result, 10 Prediction League points
St Landrew Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 Oh behave, I am one of the most optimistic posters on here, I think Pardew has done a FANTASTIC job, but Gobern let his man go for their goal and is not a left back, so the blame is Pardews for putting him there when he had a left back on the bench. Oh look, Gobern gave away a penalty as well. Then be optimistic. Personally, I wouldn't give a toss if we lost. It's the league that counts, but I realise winning does a lot for confidence, whichever competition Saints are in. Winning away to Bristol Rovers is a nice indicator of where we are.
Toadhall Saint Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 Bring it home - well done all concerned!
Fan The Flames Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 Well played Saints, strolled through with a last minute hiccup only, otherwise we bossed it.
Thedelldays Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 well done..good old fashioned FA cup tie.... antonio is superb
Belgiansaint Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 Lived dangerously for 15-20 mins, but we're through. Well done, guys.
eurosaint Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 To be fair, game of 2 halves, at the end of the day, them boys done good ! Bring on the Paulton Rovers !
S-Clarke Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 lol it wouldn't be quite the same if saint's didn't make us sweat would it thats why we love them... we were still a cut above rovers anyway, shame we still can't keep a cleansheet.
John Boy Saint Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 I know its early days but we look the dogs doo-daas
Victor Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 Then be optimistic. Personally, I wouldn't give a toss if we lost. Couldn't give a toss about the FA cup? Tosser!
Saint Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 Gobern on for Harding at 3 nil up. Discuss Gobern is trash. Got a yellow card, gave away a penalty. I hope that's the last time he sees first team action. He is awful
mcjwills Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 Well done held on to win again away from home

suewhistle Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 Well, that was good of them to wait until I got back from footie training to provide me with 5 goals and a Saints win. Time for a shower and to quarantine the sweaty sports bra.:-)
Under Weststand Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 Well that should have been a lot more comfortable than it turned out to be.There is still work to be done on that defence. I know we are scoring goals but we never ever keep a clean sheet.
paris Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 I'm happy with that a wins a wins a win,scary few mins,how many is that unbeaten now 7/8?
Under Weststand Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 Gobern on for Harding at 3 nil up. Discuss Cant quite way that one up Trousers, should have been Fish on for Harding & Gobern on for Antonio IMHO
AlfredKo Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 Typical Saints, no matter how many goals they are in front, they will always nearly balance it out in the end.
SaintDonkey Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 I'll take a 3-2 win every time. Do we get the premiership teams not in Europe next round or is it just the Championship sides who come in?
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 6 November, 2009 Posted 6 November, 2009 I'll take a 3-2 win every time. Do we get the premiership teams not in Europe next round or is it just the Championship sides who come in? Just Championship.
