S-Clarke Posted 1 November, 2009 Posted 1 November, 2009 Excellent. Honestly, teams must wait until they have us lined up next to do that. They'll obviously have a new one in place for our televised game, ready for the bounce effect.
Thedelldays Posted 1 November, 2009 Posted 1 November, 2009 ffs....is it me or do we get "new" managers against us alot..?
S-Clarke Posted 1 November, 2009 Author Posted 1 November, 2009 ffs....is it me or do we get "new" managers against us alot..? all the flaming time Colchester made sure they got boothroyd in 2 days before we played them too.
Victor Posted 1 November, 2009 Posted 1 November, 2009 Yeah, but a fair few teams must have suffered it against us over the last 10 years!
smithy Posted 1 November, 2009 Posted 1 November, 2009 Yeah, but a fair few teams must have suffered it against us over the last 10 years! Made me lol. So true.
Paul Chuckle Posted 1 November, 2009 Posted 1 November, 2009 The only new manager I remember winning their first games in charge are Alan Ball, Hoddle & Paul Sturrock the new manager effect doesn't seem to work on us, must be the number of managers we have had.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 1 November, 2009 Posted 1 November, 2009 Will they come back for Dean Wilkins? Perhaps thats why the return of Jason Dodd?
S-Clarke Posted 1 November, 2009 Author Posted 1 November, 2009 Will they come back for Dean Wilkins? Perhaps thats why the return of Jason Dodd? Not a chance in hell. Wilkins was ''let go'' by the club as Coach in may by the new chairman.
Legod Third Coming Posted 1 November, 2009 Posted 1 November, 2009 If we don't beat Brighton we should lynch the manager!!! Unless between now and then they appoint Mourinho and buy Kaka...
dronskisaint Posted 1 November, 2009 Posted 1 November, 2009 and buy Kaka Think that may be part of the problem :-)
shurlock Posted 1 November, 2009 Posted 1 November, 2009 FWIW, if they get someone in quickly, the FA cup tie will be their first game, not us.
Genk Posted 1 November, 2009 Posted 1 November, 2009 New manager won't matter. We are a much better side than Brighton and have much more quality than them. Forster looks dangerous but I would expect 3 points.
Windmill Arm 2 Posted 1 November, 2009 Posted 1 November, 2009 Excellent. Honestly, teams must wait until they have us lined up next to do that. They'll obviously have a new one in place for our televised game, ready for the bounce effect. We don't have that jinx anymore, chill out people !
SAR Boy Saint Posted 1 November, 2009 Posted 1 November, 2009 FWIW, Claridge reckoned that Brighton were one of the favorites for promotion this year, and are massively under achieving this season with quality players!!! (Football League show last night)
S-Clarke Posted 1 November, 2009 Author Posted 1 November, 2009 We don't have that jinx anymore, chill out people ! well let's hope we break the TV jinx too
S-Clarke Posted 1 November, 2009 Author Posted 1 November, 2009 FWIW, Claridge reckoned that Brighton were one of the favorites for promotion this year, and are massively under achieving this season with quality players!!! (Football League show last night) They did sign alot of new players in the summer, of decent quality too - so many reckoned they'd be up there, but it just hasn't worked for them.

Seems times have changed.
LGTL Posted 1 November, 2009 Posted 1 November, 2009 Makes no difference, they are terrible. One we should really be looking at getting 3 points.
Badger Posted 1 November, 2009 Posted 1 November, 2009 Any names mentioned yet ? I suppose a return by Coppell would be unlikely.Hope so anyway,or at least until after we have played them.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 1 November, 2009 Posted 1 November, 2009 FWIW, Claridge reckoned that Brighton were one of the favorites for promotion this year, and are massively under achieving this season with quality players!!! (Football League show last night) He wants the job!
Gorgiesaint Posted 1 November, 2009 Posted 1 November, 2009 I've heard Tony Adams is available.... .... and by the time he's got some money on it, he'll be the bookies favourite !!
Professor Posted 2 November, 2009 Posted 2 November, 2009 (edited) Russell Slade, next recruit to the Saint's scouting set-up? But could Brighton poach one of our potential DoF's - Is Coppell too big for them? Edited 2 November, 2009 by Professor
ART Posted 2 November, 2009 Posted 2 November, 2009 Sadly Dennis Wise is listed as favorite for the job. I certainly hope such an appointment won't come back to haunt us.
Andy_Porter Posted 2 November, 2009 Posted 2 November, 2009 Can't see it making a difference, Brighton are the sort of team we should batter at home. I'm looking forward to a win on Sky so we can hear the end of the "sky curse" which is a load of rubbish.

Coppell is their target according to The Times.Whilst he may be on their wishlist that may of course be a bit too ambitous for them.
qwertySFC Posted 2 November, 2009 Posted 2 November, 2009 heard that of all people Mark Wotte is on the list ,
once_bitterne Posted 2 November, 2009 Posted 2 November, 2009 heard that of all people Mark Wotte is on the list , Is he still at Tescos?
Andy_Porter Posted 2 November, 2009 Posted 2 November, 2009 heard that of all people Mark Wotte is on the list , Surely they can't be that stupid / desperate.
