OK local Sat channel is showing all the Bond movies from start to finish each night.

No arguments about the best actor to play Bond, but who has been the best Bond girl.....

Ursula Andress had the legendary moment, but tonight we watched The World is Not Enough with Sophie Marceau & Denise Richards... hmmmmm

Thoughts/inputs?

Fittest? You could be onto something with Richards or Andres. Andres' voice was dubbed quite badly though and I just couldn't get my head around Richards as a nuclear technician.

The best??? I liked Famke Jansen as a 'bad guy' in Goldeneye. Isabella Scorupo was good in that too. Rosamude Pike was alright as another baddy. Maryam d'Abo was also good in the living daylights. I can't decide...

Worst??? Balle was terrible as Jynx in Die Another Day. As was Britt Ekland in The Man With the Golden Gun.

Fiona Fullerton in 'A View to a Kill'. She was a local girl at the time and lived in Winchester with her parents. (Father was Brigadier Fullerton of the RAPC)

You think about it too much (not about spelling though, obviously, although I suspect you may have been drinking heavily). It's all about looks my friend.

Barbara Bach - probably because it coincided with a young man's realisation as to why the 'Bond girl' was so important and discovering that secondary purpose a large bag of popcorn to spare your blushes in a family visit to the cinema. The Spy Who Loved Me - memorable and still my favourite bond film of all time.

Maud Adams and Roasmund Pike will do for me

Adams was good in The Man With the Golden Gun, but looked a bit old in Octopussy.

Incidentally, Joseph Wiseman, who played Dr No, died last week aged 91. RIP.

Tomorrow never dies was Tuesday's offering.

Had forgotten the scene where JB meets Robbie Coltrane for the first time in Robbie's bar... where his squeeze is dressed in a cowboy outfit singing the world's worst karaoke version of Stand by Your Man....

Was Minnie Driver, all 40 seconds of her

That was Goldeneye.

oops another day another Bond movie my bad....

Funny though, this place has never had a "tv culture" and yet this is the first time I ever recall people discussing that they watched the movie the night before and have not bothered going out - even been letters to the paper about it!

Seeing the evolution unfold, even watching dear old Q's understated retirement in The World is not Enough having watched him galavanting around with VJ as a field operative a couple of nights before.

Suddenly you realise, Timothy Dalton was a good Bond, just he had the wrong Jaw line and was never right. George Lazenby actually wasn't as bad as seemed at the time - he simply wasn't Connery, and Daniel Craig, perfect in the new films for the new era, but he simply doesn't have that little "touch of class" that made so many foreigners love Bond as well...

Was Honour Blackman the best Bond girl? was it her "feisty independence" in those days or was it just the name. Still having the debate in the household here!

One funny though, lots of the girls down here have managed to learn to do a fantastic impression of every Bond girl ever....

Ohhhhhhhh Jaaaammmeeeeesssss....

Somehow much better than when us blokes try and do the Connery - Bond, James Bond - impression

OK, Die Another Day this evening - which brought up a new contender for a new title...

Worst "nearly" Bond Girl - and the award goes to

Madonna

Halle Berry was very good in the movie, just not convinced she is a "oh yes please" compared to the others mentioned on here

I thought they were both terrible in that film actually. Madonna's cameo was completely pointless. Berry is fit, but her acting in that film was terrible.

Madonna's cameo was completely pointless probably part of her fee for doing the song...

Berry is fit, but her acting in that film was terrible wasn't thinking of her acting so much, more her "from the shoulders down", the whole coming out the sea bit - wasn't Ursula but a fair effort - if only ... if it wasn't for the Will Smith pineapple shaped bit above the shoulders that seems accentuated in the movie....

Rosamund Pike works but somehow seems to look like your sister/daughter

Ho hum Casino Royale tomorrow, the post Bourne Identity era begins

Thought about this long and hard.

On reflection I don't think any have really matched the original or come close:

Had previously thought she was Swedish.Only realised this year that she is Swiss and as we Saints fans now know some of the truly great things in life come from Switzerland!

The Halle Berry act was merely trying to recreate the Dr No scene and did not match it.

Just to bring the level of this thread down a bit. Nice Camel Toe
