alpine_saint Posted 28 October, 2009 Posted 28 October, 2009 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/p/portsmouth/8329673.stm I laughed until I nearly puked my schnitzel up..
hypochondriac Posted 28 October, 2009 Posted 28 October, 2009 Maybe they can just keep getting a new investor in every month to pay the wages.
Thedelldays Posted 28 October, 2009 Posted 28 October, 2009 I am geniunely smiling about this I hope they go pop
S-Clarke Posted 28 October, 2009 Posted 28 October, 2009 Rumour has it that the wages could be delayed again this month too (due friday...) oh and their new owner won't be able to make it to the game on Saturday, due to ''middle eastern'' commitments. Probably looking for a get out clause somewhere.

Hopkins Posted 28 October, 2009 Posted 28 October, 2009 Don't want them to go pop/bust or anything but I very much enjoy the fact they are pure guff right now.
Stu Man Do Posted 28 October, 2009 Posted 28 October, 2009 I don't know whats funnier, the fact they have a transfer embargo or the fact they are trying to sign league 2 rejects to "improve" the quality of their squad. "Lets all lol at pompey, lets all Lol at Pompey la la la la" :-D

Well they may have found the money by now, but it's still a very close call (again). TBH i just think they're delaying the inevitable, they should just take the 9 point hit now and have done with it.
krissyboy31 Posted 28 October, 2009 Posted 28 October, 2009 They are not the only Prem club in danger of administration. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/oct/28/hull-city-accounts-losses
hypochondriac Posted 28 October, 2009 Posted 28 October, 2009 Not sure how they are going to find a decent owner. The amount required just to keep the fans happy will be huge and they will never see a return. It makes no sense. Compare that to the 12 million for saints and everything you got for your money and it looks even worse.

Dan Johnson Posted 28 October, 2009 Posted 28 October, 2009 In a way I feel sorry for them. I don’t want them to succeed, I do want them to fail to the point where we become the "dominant" force in the south again, but I don’t want them to go bust or out of business... I’d prefer them to fail catastrophically because of the awful football they play, not because of their impotent business sense... that’s already been done once on the south, all the same if this nudges them just below us & that’s where their deterioration ends... so be it. Football would be nothing without derby games & banter...
Right sider Posted 28 October, 2009 Posted 28 October, 2009 :smt044You couldn't make it up. What a shower they have become. And to think they were laughing at us!!!! :smt044
rick1976.4.38 Posted 28 October, 2009 Posted 28 October, 2009 i thought the premier league had a check on investors to see if they are suitable, they must have a skate hater in their ranks cos it gets funnier by the day, play up poopey, coyr

Hatch Posted 28 October, 2009 Posted 28 October, 2009 Both are going down anyway so it won't make much difference. Start next season on -10, so will go down again....LOL.
