Skates thro to 1/4 finals - could be getting some extra, much needed cash in.

Stoke sold their full allocation for the game (not sure how many?) but even with this they only managed 11,000 crowd.

I think they should be more concerned with getting points on the board in the league, they are wetting themselves with with the win tonight on POL.

I did hightlight this fact along with the **** poor attendance.

They bite so easily.

They got the same against Blackburn a couple of years ago and about 8,000 against Leeds when they were in CCC. Clearly this competition is one of their lesser priorities. Ahem.

A 6-6 defensive nightmare of a draw with 4 sendings off and 3 major injuries in the next round would be a bit lolly.

what I don't understand is that other smaller clubs got bigger crowds tonight?

Sunderland - not a sleeping giant but they got 28,000

Spurs - not a club famed for its great loyal fanbase like the skates got 36,000

Barnsley 20,000

I happened to have the game on in the background, and tbf, Pimply murdered Stoke City. At one point the commentator remarked that the crowd was a disappointing 9500+. But someone must have told him that Stoke fans were there somewhere, because he amended his total to 11,000+.

What are the ticket charges for Fratton Park..? That's a poor crowd, even for League Cup action.

It was 20 quid and 15 for season ticket holders.
