Interesting comment "It has provided us with a very good opportunity for us to take a look at him." With a bit of luck it will become permanent.

ozzmeister Posted 29 October, 2009 Posted 29 October, 2009 What about that Brett Pittman from Bournemouth - he's quite highliy rated?

WATERSIDEIFASAINT Posted 29 October, 2009 Posted 29 October, 2009 Get shot of Saga and get in Barnard from Southend
Hopkins Posted 29 October, 2009 Posted 29 October, 2009 Think we could do much worse than signing melis at the right price, he obviously has a good future ahead of him and think he has looked good in the games he has played. Definately agree with strength in depth. I personally see him as having more potential than antonio He has way more potential than Antonio. We won't be signing Mellis at any price, let alone the right one. He's one of Chelsea's biggest prospects and I know many Chelsea ST holders who rate him very highly. There coaching staff have him down as a big prospect for them.
ottery st mary Posted 30 October, 2009 Posted 30 October, 2009 (edited) Personal choice....Alford from Wolves....Versatility and big and strong Right back or midfield. Sorry...Greg Halford..6' 4" Many clubs but only 26 years......Would be good for us as he has lost his way and ready to be coached by a top coaching team Pards and staff. corsacar saint Posted 2 November, 2009 Posted 2 November, 2009 I agree with WATERSIDEIFASAINT, we should try to sign Lee Barnard, you cannot have too many goalscorers in a team. Southend appear to be in desperate trouble financially, so he must be worth a try.[ After all how many players did we have to let go in firesales]. It would also be great if we could agree a deal for Trotman, and get rid of some of the deadwood- i.e Perry, Thomas, Lancashire, Gillet, Patterson, etc.

Played superbly for Sheffield United (started something like 34 games) last season which prompted Wolves to sign him up and he's started 9 games for them this season.

He is still young an U19 International he may well develop into a decent defender like Mills and Cranie

Who's the young defender you're referring to?
Chez Posted 3 November, 2009 Posted 3 November, 2009 Look at the positions we need to improve. A replacement for Wotton, another striker in case Lambert gets injured, and a left sided player in case Lallana is out.

His Sat Nav is broken and apparently he is forever losing his way.
