Bitter defeated boss claims we are very long ball!

"The table can lie all it wants, but every time we come up against a top side , the same thing will happen/ has happened as today, passionless meaningless hoofball. The Management has been clueless all season, outwitted against every half decent opposition they have come across, with a distinct lack of ability to change games. All we get is either deluded statements or indeed, the regular blaming of the nasty ref"

One of the many Don's fans who would agree with my assessment of Ince and his teams.

I am posting this because I passionately detest PI.

"The one individual I believe that we are missing is not in the playing staff but in the coaching staff. I would dearly like to see Ray Mathias back on board to sort out some consistency and some fluidity in our play; far too often I am seeing the long ball hoof ball coming into our play- resulting in possession being given away rather too cheaply. We are no longer dominating games; something has got to be done and I believe that Mathias could well be what we are missing."

Just as I expected - the brains behind Paul Ince, Ray Mathias!

Saints actually varied long and short ball tactics quite well with some fast pin-point passing (and quite a few that got intercepted) tormenting Dons who looked pretty wooden at times. Well done team. Well done Pards.

For me as I posted on the post match thread, this is the BEST news I've heard for a while.

Our tippy tappy game last season looked great until the opposition worked us out. In this league the pitches will not be good in the winter and slick passing moves won't always work (but did at Southend)

Having the extra weapon tactically to use hoofball is great, it is just there when we really need it.

We can score hoofball and we can score magic 6 pass moves. Ain't life grand!

I'm actually happy both are showing how truly inept they are.

In some respects Ince is 'succeeding' at the moment - but he's not a good coach IMO. Been through alot of the MK Don's forums this eve - it would appear many of their fans think this even though they near the top. General consensus is they've scraped by in most of their games this season and fluked many of their wins.

Oh, for the record

Ince was a rock for England.

As a person and certainly as a manager he seems to leave a little to be desired, and I think it may be a tad unfair on cn*ts in general to give him such a high rating in life

Can't agree phil, someone who labells himself ' The guvnor' yet not only bottles taking a penalty in the euro 96 semi vs the krauts but turns his back as the pens are taken is more a coc-k than a rock.

I whole-heartedly agree! And I remember it well, and don't plan on forgetting it either. The man is a ****.

I hope we stick to them at their pace too.

Was just about to post exactly the same thing.

He's a charade, a fake and always will be.

Also, on another note of managers from the same school of talking **** and delivering nothing - Tony Adams.

One moment, easily countered by the play-off game in Rome though.

In some ways he was a Paul Wotton, did a really effective job for the team in one role, and when he played we were better for it. He was never the creative one or a winger, he was just a nasty niggly piece of work.

Been a few games since when we could have done with that.

But in my defence I did point out that calling him a cn*t was affording him too much credit

(Anyway I missed that Kraut game, was in jail in Yemen as my visa was all screwed up so I have an excuse!)

Ince is a prize **** yes, but still not as much of a prize **** as roy ****ing keane.

Agree, if ever there was a pair of ****s it would be Ince and Keane.

Spot the common link .... King of The Knuts .... Fergie who could never ever say anything complimenary about the opposition ... even after our 6-3 mauling of them he reckoned they were the better team :p

Nice to hear others saying we dominated throughout and shouldve been well ahead by half time.

Ince is a good manager, and a motivator. But, Pardew is a class above him. Never did I believe we'd get someone like Pardew when weighing up the damage done by the previous regime in the summer. But, wow... what a transformation already!

Interesting Point really. Roy Keane wouldve been the choice of most if available... but look at him and Ipswich now!

In fairness, we started with one up front and we played a fair few lofted balls to him that definitely weren't 'short'. He was fairly isolated with players like Waigo failing to come inside for the knock down etc. However, we were much better once Antonio and Connolly came on and the team had changed to a more traditional 4-4-2. From this point on, we weren't using Lambert as much of a target man with lofted balls etc.

MK Dons are 4th (3rd before we beat them) they have 15 more points than us (5 more if you dont count our -10). They have won 8, we have won 5.

Not a massive fan of Ince but lets get some perspective - he's doing a decent job at MK Dons (as he did before) he has spent very little money (far less than AP) and joined MK Dons late in the summer so had little planning time.

He is also succeeding despite having Darren Powell in his side lol.

The man sounds confused to me - agreed we scored 3 goals but didn't think the score was 3 - 1. Apparently you can just 'forget about the last goal' - is this a new rule that I'm not aware of...????

F o o k ing wish it was ....last goal cost me 60 quid

Only when you're playing at Old Trafford apparantly.... if you're beating ManUtd.:)
