ringwood Posted 24 October, 2009 Posted 24 October, 2009 Well today whilst walking away from St Marys spotted Tiff Needell, didn't realise he was a fan, he said he'd just returned due to the results turning round, looks like he's brought a few thousand with him. Other than that guy off Shipwrecked who else has been spotted of the TV as a Saints fan actually at the games? We here quite often so and so is a fan but who has actually be spotted?
Saint_clark Posted 24 October, 2009 Posted 24 October, 2009 What WAS the attendance? Those tannoy announcers are f*cking crap.
Colinjb Posted 24 October, 2009 Posted 24 October, 2009 What WAS the attendance? Those tannoy announcers are f*cking crap. About 21,300. (About 1000 away fans)

CanadaSaint Posted 24 October, 2009 Posted 24 October, 2009 The 21,000 is a hell of a crowd for this division considering that MKD didn't bring very many.
BadgerBadger Posted 24 October, 2009 Posted 24 October, 2009 Was well surprised at the small (and quiet) following of MK.
dellboypete Posted 24 October, 2009 Posted 24 October, 2009 Just had a look at the crowds elswhere: in our division norwich got 24959 the next nearest was millwall v leeds - 14165 in the CCC sheff - crdiff was 25021 derby-qpr was 30135 the next nearest was cov - wba (midlands derby) 20871 in the prem burnley - wigan was 19430 brum - sunderland was 21723 (just a bit more than us) hull - skates 23720 These crowds really put it into perspective how well we are supported
dune Posted 24 October, 2009 Posted 24 October, 2009 How many will the Pompey scum get in the Championship next season? And how many will they get in L1 the following season? I reckon 13000 and 8000 respectively.

suewhistle Posted 24 October, 2009 Posted 24 October, 2009 I've seen Tiff Needell in the Kingsland a couple of times. ¬Who the 'eck is Tiff Needell anyway? Besides, if we carry on like this you might see me cancelling a few lessons, making myself unavailable for Sunday football and making the play-offs!! Alps rule!:-)
View From The Top Posted 24 October, 2009 Posted 24 October, 2009 Thought it was way more than 21K myself.

suewhistle Posted 24 October, 2009 Posted 24 October, 2009 Ta Redwillie! I could google or wiki but Saintweb is more efficient!

Deppo Posted 24 October, 2009 Posted 24 October, 2009 John Hasler, who played T-Shirt in the various series of the T-Bag adventures (including 'T-Bag and the Revenge of the T-Set' and 'T-Bag and the Sunstones of Montezuma') is a regular in the Kingsland North. Last time I saw him was the Brentford game.

Legod Third Coming Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 Add me to the list of Needell spotters , he takes his boys along to the game and drives a surprisingly modest 3 series BMW . Probably testing it... I once saw him in a McLaren F1 but that wasn't his either!!!! Mind you, it was then on Top Gear with him at the wheel doing about a hundred down that road from Lavant to Cheriton near Goodwood.
RonManager Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 Well I've had a speaking part on Time Team in Glasgow. 'Hey Carenza, come over here and look at this' - after 4 takes FFS! I had to keep re-burying the piece of pottery and then re-finding it. The catering was brilliant. The back of my head has recently featured in Chris Barrie's 'Britain's greatest machines' -I was the fireman on the A4 steam loco.

Legod Third Coming Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 He's been working for BBC as a reporter on the Football League Show. He did the voice over of Saints' game last night amongst many others. I sat next to him once in corporate. Had no idea who he was. Afterwards one of my guests was made up - apaprently a huge NFL fan and couldn't believe Halling was a Saints fan (which I assume he is?). Seemed like a very decent fella to me. Good voice for football too - much better than that Peter Drury who I hate!!!

RonManager Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 Seen Ewan Thomas in the Itchen quite a few times. I know, If I've dragged him out once this month, I've done it a hundred times. Trouble is, as soon as you let go of him he's straight back in the water.
