First time I'd seen him play - great performance from the lad, played a part in all 3 goals I think and the MK defence couldn't deal with him!

Agreed - him and Connolly made all the difference in the second half.

He looked very good, quick, pacey and strong. Things that do not always come in one package as a winger. I would definately sign him. And TBH, the way that reading are getting on, we should ask him what he wants, us or them.

Great player. IMO, we need to sign him and the awesome Trottman

i wonder if we got him on one of those 'on loan with a view to a permanent move' agreements.

Get him into that office and give the lad a pen!

Absolutely took their LB's ass to the cleaners. Then he had it pressed, turned it inside out, tore it a new anus and handed it back on a plate.

Brilliant.. lmfao

Absolutly 100% agree with that statement at least get them on a 1-year loan. Trottman would leave a big hole in the defence if we lost him in Jan

the LB wasn't the best we have seen all season but he still played very well

Lewington, the longest serving player they have and their captain!!!

His profile on the official sites says

"he was invited to join Alan Pardew's side for a month's loan which will initially run until Monday 2nd November....."

That suggests the month time limit was set by us rather than by Reading. Plus the use of the word "initially" sounds like we can extend the period we have him for (hopefully!)

MOTM Without a doubt. We were poor with Waigo on and Antonio completely changed the game, chased and won every ball.

Fantastic player and would be thrilled if we signed him.

He did well but lets temper our adulation a tad.He was very hit and miss initially. Its funny how Papa is now seen as surplus

Two words: Well impressed. Came on at Southend (I think?!) and I noted his pace and strength, but he took it to another level today. He knows it as well, pushing the ball past the defender and sprinting past them, worked well a couple of times. Refreshing to see a player get down the line and draw players in with a view to take it round them before playing it into the box, as opposed to long loopy crosses from the deep. A really good prospect, we should try and sign him. Playing like he did tonight he could easily start next week, fitness permitting of course.

the worry is why are academy is producing forwards with no muscle, this guy is fast and strong and uses both attributes, very little checking back to go square across the field

just go for goal or goal line

He'll get found out quickly unless he finds another trick than kick it 15 yards and run round the full back.

Great performance though, the cross that Jaidi got on the end of was very impressive.

they may know what he is going to do, but stopping it without playing an extra defender is difficult

pace and strength kills most defenders

Let's stick with the positives for now eh

Reminds me v much of George Lawrence (aka Chicken George).

Strong, quick and direct but without much ball control or guile.

Made more impact than Papa and contributed to our win.

Reserve judgement for the moment.

Hopeful that Mcglaggon can offer something similar when fully fit.

Need something similar down the left flank, as an option. Unfortunately Lee Holmes/Fish Mills don't provide this option

Worked for Syds back in the 60s, if defenders have to double up on him it will give Lambert and Co more space in the middle.

The difference between this guy and the others you mentioned is he is strong and happy to use that strength

his crosses/balls into the box were pretty damn good. Bye line + decent cross = OK for me

Only if they can catch him :)

Hope we can extend this loan.....just imagine a winger playing for Southampton who actually does what a winger should - beat the full back and get to the bye-line....incredible !!

he must come from a good academy

Definitely changed the game today but it's just as well he's got pace 'cos he can trap/control a ball further than I can kick it! Very raw talent for AP to work with if we can keep him a while longer.

To be honest, and I was on the opposite side from Antonio, their left back looked like the worst player on the park even when Papa was against him.

I was surprised to see anyone getting success with the "poke past and chase" approach that got found out in my school team when I was 8 years old, which I think gives some indication of what he was up against. Lewington was awful.

Having said that, he did well to reach some of his hoofs to himself, and I he had a left foot of any kind he'd probably have scored. Played better than Waigo, and created havoc without showing me much skill, but not sure he'd be much of a footballer against the likes of Harding or Jaidi.

I thought this was intelligent play from Antonio, the LB was getting really tight on him. The flick and chase which lead to the free kick for the second goal was great.

Once again i agree with you the9, it's almost like reading my own thoughts, but if i could actually be bothered to write them down. :D

I've got a feeling Reading might want him back, especially the way that they are playing.

Jackie's right. This is what we do too - send our youngsters out on loan to lower level clubs to get them revved up, then have them back and bring them into the squad. I fear that as Antonio has done so well, they will be keen to take advantage of that themselves.

Our best negotiating tool is likely that he would want to stick with us, as things are 'on the up' rather than fighting relegation in the CCC.

If he is as good as everyone says, then yes buy him. Offer them 1/2 mill.
