benjii Posted 24 October, 2009 Posted 24 October, 2009 Been raining here (pretty near town) all morning and is very grey and gloomy. No danger of a postponement but likely to lead to a more unpredictable match IMO.
Tac-tics Posted 24 October, 2009 Posted 24 October, 2009 I do wonder if we have a 'Plan B' as to long ball football? We may have the 'lumps' in Jaidi and Lambert but would we ever resort to it if we can't get our passing game going?
Toadhall Saint Posted 24 October, 2009 Posted 24 October, 2009 I do wonder if we have a 'Plan B' as to long ball football? We may have the 'lumps' in Jaidi and Lambert but would we ever resort to it if we can't get our passing game going? Conditions will play a part today IMHO. As to long ball - I can't see it being a plan B unless we are loosing with 10 mins to go.
Leicestersaint Posted 24 October, 2009 Posted 24 October, 2009 3 - 1 to Saints but MKD to score first!
SNSUN Posted 24 October, 2009 Posted 24 October, 2009 Tis funneh to see peeps going for a 2-1 win - that's my prediction too. I don't think we'll wow anyone, despite decent performances of late, but I think we're one of those teams that can now grind out a result - the mark of a good team in any league. We're scoring goals, and yes, we haven't kept clean sheets of late, but with Jaidi, Trotman and Harding in at the back, I'm more confident in the defence than I have been for years. My shift at work finishes at 3, so I'll be speeding to get home to follow it. (If any police constables are reading, I'm lying.) 2-1. Goals from Lambert and Waigo.
Mr X Posted 24 October, 2009 Posted 24 October, 2009 we lose 3-1 unfortunately its saints for chrisakes......win four in a row? .. no chance
CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 24 October, 2009 Posted 24 October, 2009 I see the club are predicting a busy day at the ticket office due to the postal strike , get there early if you can .
thornhill_saints Posted 24 October, 2009 Posted 24 October, 2009 I got a £5 on Saints to Win 3 - 2 @ 25 -1 and to be on the safe side I put £2 on a 2 -2 draw @ 14 -1 COYR!
sperm_john Posted 24 October, 2009 Posted 24 October, 2009 travelled down from northampton for this one, can only see another saints win, but a tougher game none the less, probably 3-2 or 3-1 saints ..
Nexstar Posted 24 October, 2009 Posted 24 October, 2009 According to their OS 800 Dons fans had bought tickets by yesterday, so I guess around 1,200 on the day.
Under Weststand Posted 24 October, 2009 Posted 24 October, 2009 Would love to think we'd win this & keep the run going but Franchise FC are a strong tough side & just feel it will end up a draw 2-2 for me.
SamKimish Posted 24 October, 2009 Posted 24 October, 2009 As others have said, I'm cautiously optimistic about today. My heart is hoping for a win but my head says that a draw would still be a good result. Will be interesting to see how (if) the formation changes if Connolly starts in place of the injured Lallana. Anyway, my predo is 2-1 to the mighty reds. A goal from MK Dons in the second half leaving every fan on the edge of their seats for the last twenty minutes.

Windmill Arm 2 Posted 24 October, 2009 Posted 24 October, 2009 We all want 4 wins out of 4, so being Saints they will lose today because good things never last with Southampton. (reverse psychology)
