Matthew Le God Posted 22 October, 2009 Posted 22 October, 2009 I think you'll find pretty much every football league team uses that type of club website from the same company. Is it really worth starting a thread about it though?
krissyboy31 Posted 22 October, 2009 Posted 22 October, 2009 They have stolen our format. No. We have stolen theirs and pretty much every other Football League clubs and some Premier League ones too. It is sh!t and I for one hope that as soon as the current contract has expired, we revert to something more user friendly, accurate, regularly updated, with better journalism. The Sky template went downhill after Graham Hiley left but was much much better that this pile of cr@p!
Nexstar Posted 22 October, 2009 Posted 22 October, 2009 I think you'll find pretty much every football league team uses that type of club website from the same company. Is it really worth starting a thread about it though? Out of interest would you know the name of that company?
hypochondriac Posted 22 October, 2009 Posted 22 October, 2009 Out of interest would you know the name of that company? Same one that did the England streaming.
krissyboy31 Posted 22 October, 2009 Posted 22 October, 2009 Out of interest would you know the name of that company? Football League Interactive. Got a feeling it used to be Premier TV? Still a bag of sh!te though!! :smt076
jam Posted 22 October, 2009 Posted 22 October, 2009 Out of interest would you know the name of that company? Perform Check out their client list and admire the dreary sameness...
Dogs Posted 22 October, 2009 Author Posted 22 October, 2009 I think you'll find pretty much every football league team uses that type of club website from the same company. Is it really worth starting a thread about it though? Sorry Matt, i dont get out much.
Badger Posted 22 October, 2009 Posted 22 October, 2009 They have stolen our format. Or perhaps someone just sold them a franchise
sperm_john Posted 22 October, 2009 Posted 22 October, 2009 how many adverts are on our website, its rediculous, its like a billboard, surely now marcus is at the helm we can have an individual club website ..
chrisobee Posted 23 October, 2009 Posted 23 October, 2009 It's not just the lay out that is poor and there are definitely too many adverts. The website is rarely up to date and even though there is going to be an article in the programme tomorrow about David Burnside I would have thought a mention on there would have been appropriate ( or did I miss it amongst the adverts? ). Very poor, an amatuer could build a better, more user friendly site than that one so I hope it does change at some point, hopefully soon !
richie Posted 23 October, 2009 Posted 23 October, 2009 The worst bit about the OS is the match preview. I already know what our last two results were and the line up's!! Generally speaking I know that about the opposition too!! At least with the old OS it would give a 'when they last met' section, a piece of trivia and a couple of paragraphs on the form and history of the opposition over the last few years. It would also have a couple of lines about the ground too if it were an away game. Totally pointless - tells me nothing I dont already know.
richie Posted 23 October, 2009 Posted 23 October, 2009 ps Hate how they point an advert in the middle of the text you are reading!!!!!!
CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 23 October, 2009 Posted 23 October, 2009 http://www.mkdonsforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=5749&start=10 I had to laugh when a Ugly Inside member posting on this site admitted that Saintsweb is the main SFC forum but claimed we were 'a miserable lot' - shirly knot .
stevegrant Posted 23 October, 2009 Posted 23 October, 2009 Speaking of the Dons, I'll be on Radio MK within the next hour previewing our game Think you can listen live at radiomk.co.uk or something like that

hypochondriac Posted 23 October, 2009 Posted 23 October, 2009 Listened in. Well done. Fancy starting a SaintsWeb radio station then? Yeah. Any chance we could set this up? Maybe broadcast a couple of hours a week or something. I'd be really interested. PM me anyone if you know how and would like to start something. Well done btw steve
hamster Posted 23 October, 2009 Posted 23 October, 2009 It's about time this club had it's own radio station imo. oh
stevegrant Posted 23 October, 2009 Posted 23 October, 2009 I've thought about doing a SaintsWeb podcast for a while now, but I think there'd probably be a shortage of things to talk about really.
up and away Posted 23 October, 2009 Posted 23 October, 2009 They have stolen our format. If they stole that, it's no longer safe to bird **** on your windscreen!
scotty Posted 23 October, 2009 Posted 23 October, 2009 I've thought about doing a SaintsWeb podcast for a while now, but I think there'd probably be a shortage of things to talk about really. You'd need some kind of filter.
