I see that the OS still has us down as playing Rovers at 15:00 on the Saturday.

There's been an article on the 'latest news' since yesterday saying that the match is on Friday.

Rang up the Ticket office 10 minutes ago, still to get allocation through from Bristol Rovers.

They may have it tomorrow morning they may not.

Not being funny but how long does this take to work out? Just give us what they gave us last time and send the tickets down. I am sure if it was at SMS Bristol Rovers would have their ticket allocation by now

If Rovers want people to go then they should get the tickets out sharpish. What with the postal mess Monday is probably too late to send them out.

It is not all-ticket for home fans, but I presume it will be all ticket for us? However, posting tickets in time is now going to be very difficult.

Is there any new yet about ticket allocations? I would probably take 3 tickets but some of us important people need to make decisions about what we are doing more than a week in advance. What on earth is the hold-up? Surely both clubs have done this sort of thing before?

They told me that more than likely unless you can collect from st Marys then they will send up on bus and we can collect from the memorial ground.

This is going to be an absolute nightmare to organise if that's what they want to do. They would have to have a dedicated area right outside the away end.

I suspect most people will be collecting from SMS, so only a couple of hundred will need to collect theirs at the memorial ground. Just don't leave it too late.

Yes, I would appreciate it very much if you would all collect your tickets from SMS as I may not be able to get to the ground till after 7pm. :D

I don't know. Don't we have a large %age of fans who don't live in Southampton?

I would say a very large % of away support seems to be from anywhere but Southampton from my experience at away games. Maybe I just go in the wrong pubs each time.

Well that's normally how these things work.

But normally you can purchase them three weeks before the game, not three days.

That doesn't seem too difficult, as I'm sure you know, the car park goes right down the back of the stand to where the away fans get in.

Details now on the OS. On sale to STHs tomorrow, general sale on Wednesday.

Purchase in person recommended but not essential.

Anyone know the deadline for ordering over the phone and getting the tickets sent out? Guessing Monday?

Wanna go by train and come back the same night. Any one know if it'll be possible to get to Bristol Parkway for the 22:02 train after the game?

Filton/Abbey wood is more direct for trains to Southampton

Parkway is 3 miles from the ground. Filton/Abbey Wood is 1.9 miles. Postcodes are:

Ground: BS7 0BF

Parkway: BS34 8PU

Filon: BS34 7JW

You could run it but 22:02 is probably too early.

Anyone local to Bristol able to give a Postal code or similar of somewhere within 10 minutes walk of the ground where I can park my (half decent) car before the game and be able to find it in the same condition as it was left :) ?

Am I the only one that thinks having your footy team sticker in your car is asking for trouble at away games ?

We parked in the Sports Centre in Dorian Rd BS7 0XW (just off main A38.) last time. About a 10 minute walk IIRC and a quick getaway after the game.

Yes, that has surprised me. Lst trai seems to be leaving Cardiff at 21:30 & Filton at 21:09. How about via Reading?

I went to Bristol on a friday in October and found that the last train back with a connection to Basingstoke was around 9.45, and I almost missed that due to the cab I ordered turning up almost fifteen minutes late. So I wouldn't try and get home by train after the game. The last train to Southampton leaves Waterloo just after 1am though, so you may be able to get back via London, but it will be expensive.

If you hurry you have time to arrange that second mortgage first.
