NorthamSteve Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 Brizzle..... let's cast away those memories....
Thedelldays Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 ******** brizzle rovers v southampton bound to be on telly....we could be on telly 3 times in a week
Bentley Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 ****, that's quite hard. I think we can win under Pardew though. (2nd time lucky)
sad saints fan Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 revenge coming up for that league defeat
Saint_clark Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 Definitely going to be on the TV IMO. Quite funny really, Lambert scored against us to knock us out of this competition a few years ago.
Tac-tics Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 Why do we never get a ****ing small club like Norwich just got Paulton
Saint_clark Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 Why do we never get a ****ing small club like Norwich just got Paulton They're usually all knocked out when we come into the competition...
krissyboy31 Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 Couldn't have been much tougher than that TBH. Hope we put on a better show than we did a couple of seasons ago.
Northam Girls Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 (edited) BLAST IT - Bristol Rovers again - oh well we couldn't go last time Jo was Sky Diving so this year we ARE gonna go and we ARE gonna win - COYR Edited 25 October, 2009 by Northam Girls
69 saint Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 don't forget leeds away to oldham could be on tv...BUT the tv likes small clubs hoping to beat a big club it make good telly
fish fingers Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 leeds v oldham will most likely be on teh tellybox, plus Paulton V Norwich. Not sure if more than two games will be shown.
This Charming Man Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 What a terrible draw. Any team away, not in our league would have done me, but no...
Thedelldays Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 so much for getting a minow and resting some players..ffs
RonManager Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 I guess it's up to AP how seriously he wants to take this (also BR as they are riding high).
Thedelldays Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 I guess it's up to AP how seriously he wants to take this (also BR as they are riding high). I know winning every game is a must...BUT imo I would rather we were not in the FA cup this season.... I would not be too fussed if we were knocked out of the cup at brizzle and come away with no injuries and suspensions....but then you dont want a league rival to beat you.. horrible draw for us.. I bet lambert is loving it
Arizona Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 Looks like I'm the only person pleased with this draw. Live in Bristol and I'm working in the morning, so it's probably the only fixture I could realistically have gotten to. Bring 'em on.
Weston Saint Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 Tough draw but on the bright side, a chance to revenge them knocking us out a couple of seasons ago, a chance to see if we have the will or battle for a cup run, and no loss of face if we lose like there would have been if a non league side put us out.
dronskisaint Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 They've all got to be beaten - bring 'em on - it'll be good therapy & a test of the depth of our squad. If we can't look at beating them then should we take ourselves seriously. Prediction BR 1- Saints 3 (we always win 3-1 :-))
RedAndWhite91 Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 I wonder how many fans we will be taking there. I have no doubt we will take a brilliant following for the away tie in the League, but what about an FA Cup 1st round tie??? I hope we take a lot, as they bought a lot to our place. One-upmanship and all that.
Tokyo-Saint Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 ******** i wanted northwich vics away charlton got them bristol rovers vs saints better be on tv
Jackie@home Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 Have we ever had a non league team in the cup? I thought it had to be our best chance yet this season, the odds of getting a decent team away were pretty remote. However, we've managed it. I think Bournemouth went through year after year getting Bristol City or Rovers away in the cup. At least it's not too far to travel.
Northam Girls Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 Who did Eastleigh get? Barrow or Chester - away
Block 5 Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 Rovers away 2 years ago was an humiliation. We will have our revenge......
St Hando Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 Looks like I'm the only person pleased with this draw. Live in Bristol and I'm working in the morning, so it's probably the only fixture I could realistically have gotten to. Bring 'em on. Very happy with that too, live bout 10 minutes away from the mem so couldnt have been better
Footballfan Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 I went last time, but I think we only got 1500 tickets for the game
hypochondriac Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 I know winning every game is a must...BUT imo I would rather we were not in the FA cup this season.... I would not be too fussed if we were knocked out of the cup at brizzle and come away with no injuries and suspensions....but then you dont want a league rival to beat you.. horrible draw for us.. I bet lambert is loving it But there is always a chance of winning and getting Pompey in the third round. I would back us to win...
bjk Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 Tough tie.Draw at Bristol and win the replay, they were lucky to beat us a few weeks ago.We will have our revenge.
RedWillie Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 FFS. I wanted a tiny team. we got one...they are just punching above their weight at the moment
Under Weststand Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 Tough draw away to Bristol Lambert will love it, time to revenge that awful cup defeat couple of years ago. Would have liked AP to be able to rest a few for this game, but if he wants us to keep on the winning trail then he will have to play a pretty much full strength side.
skintsaint Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 We can with this cup FFS...lets start with Bristol, one of the giants in the competiion.
hypochondriac Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 we got one...they are just punching above their weight at the moment Not exactly Eastleigh.
jam Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 Tough tie.Draw at Bristol and win the replay, they were lucky to beat us a few weeks ago.We will have our revenge. They were all over us for the last half hour, I'm not sure if lucky is accurate.
Wilko Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 Will be like a home game for some of us. It's times like this that I wish I bought a membership. Almost.
dune Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 Will be like a home game for some of us. It's times like this that I wish I bought a membership. Almost. It's times like this when it needs repeating that memberships aren't for sale this year.
Andyb1 Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 I guess it's up to AP how seriously he wants to take this (also BR as they are riding high). They did loose at home to Yoevil yesterday...
RonManager Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 It's all a bit pointless anyway - Paulton Rovers will walk this Cup.
benjii Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 Mixed feelings about the FA Cup this year. Would love to have got an absolute minnow, for the laughs but really can't see the point. We should save ourselves for the league and the JPT IMO.
Wes Tender Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 Brilliant draw! We can get revenge for the awful way that they unceremoniously dumped us out the last time. And with luck, the player to apply the fatal coup de grace will be Lambert. Although we are now in the same division, I'd argue that this is a better team than then, with a better manager, not difficult when we are talking Dodd and Gorman. Now is the right time to play them again and turn the tables.
Smirking_Saint Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 Don't really care about the FA cup.......... for once in my footballing life. Would much rather us win the JPT and aim for playoffs this year instead. But meh, only my opinion
Huffton Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 Don't really care about the FA cup.......... for once in my footballing life. Would much rather us win the JPT and aim for playoffs this year instead. But meh, only my opinion Have to say I agree, far too much chance of getting needless injuries in a competition we have no chance of winning. Would be nice to get to the 3rd round a draw the skates at SMS though, we would kick their arses f'sure.
bigtonesfc Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 If we gonna win the cup then we got to get over the odd tough hurdle!Ahem..!
Gorgiesaint Posted 25 October, 2009 Posted 25 October, 2009 Brilliant draw! We can get revenge for the awful way that they unceremoniously dumped us out the last time. Now is the right time to play them again and turn the tables. Have to say, if we had to get an away draw then this was the one to get. Not much motivation required - just reply the video of that game & the game at SMS earlier this season. Key word - Revenge!!
