Joensuu Posted 22 October, 2009 Share Posted 22 October, 2009 Aye...as much as the libs preach tolerance etc .....When it really boils down to it, its clear that the libs are some of the most intolerant peeps in the world......This forum and others are a pretty good microscope. Just mention BNP, OIL, BIG BUSINESS, IMMIGRATION TOUGH ON CRIME, or pretty much any other subject and watch the abuse fly from peeps who all reside in the 'green area' Tolerant, only as long as you agree with them... FWIW.... My vote will prolly be going to the only party who seems to want to try and address Britains continued slide into the abyss.....yup..the BNP It's quite simple: everything is tolerated except intolerance. No law should exist unless it protects someone or something from another's excess. Question us liberals ask ourselves is how can we tolerate the intolerence of the BNP? Interesting how tolerence tends to increases with education. (just as crime increases with poverty). Instead of censoring the BNP, we need to tackle the root of the problem, namely illinformed misunderstanding. By all means vote for whoever you wish; if the BNP then recognise that you are voting for a party who represent everything that is wrong with this country. Nobody who is proud of the diverse heritage and hard-fought freedoms of this country would ever consider voting for racist authoritarians. How ironic you choose to brand yourself 'St George' when you so clearly stand against this country.
Thedelldays Posted 22 October, 2009 Share Posted 22 October, 2009 Although for every expert spouting one set of statistics, there's another expert with another view: http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/oct/21/uk-population-growth-claim-disputed either way..I will be amazed if it has not risen by a sizable amount in the next 25 years..where as it stands there will be a massive amount of OAPs in the country..where the government have given the state pension something like 34p pay rise..now what happens when we have to cater for more.....then more, then more...? what will give..? trident..? maybe but I doubt it..regardless of what rights and wrongs you all will write.. the number of police officers..? less spending on the NHS..bit counter productive to pay for millions of extra people more duty on fuel..? more duty on alcohol..? well, this is on its way as ciggys will be out of sight and out of mind soon.. what will give..? there is not enough housing, the NHS is stretched despite record spending, the streets are ****ed up battle zones at weekends.. Thedelldays Posted 22 October, 2009 Share Posted 22 October, 2009 TDD, quick question; What is your stand on the BNP and all things political? I see you, time and time again, either playing devil's advocate or just playing dumb but you never reveal more than snippets or inferences of your personal beliefs. they are racists....they are pretty ignorant and should never EVER be allowed anywhere near power.. however, they do have or should I say, they raise the issue of uncontrolled immigration which does/or pretty much did exist.. I have my own account of seeing complete unfairness imo...people can shout and call me racist all you want...but we all go and live by our own experience and I have seen such handouts with my own eyes.. the issue of immigration has been 'poo, poo'd' by leftys and the main stream parties for too long...up until very recently, should you DARE ask a question on immigrants and discuss policy you were immidiately branded as racist..which is simply pathetic...these leftys can be as bad as the BNP imo...I dont think the BNP could ask for a better recruiting tool than the labour gov and the miliatant lefties.. I have many 'ethnic' friends, muslim friends and even THEY (get this) say immigration and the lack of real policy needs to be addressed.. you dont have to be white to have concerns...that also does not mean you are racist either.. one thing I have also realised in the last few weeks/months. the loony leftys are all for freedom of speech..only if they agree with it.. Joensuu Posted 22 October, 2009 Share Posted 22 October, 2009 either way..I will be amazed if it has not risen by a sizable amount in the next 25 years..where as it stands there will be a massive amount of OAPs in the country..where the government have given the state pension something like 34p pay rise..now Of course extra immigration wouldn't actually help increase future tax revenue, thereby supporting pensions? However you are correct that something has to give. Step forward the two most expensive government departments: social services, & MoD. Welfare reform is needed. It needs to be very generous (at first), but with massive incentives to find employment. Perhaps everybody gets 24-36 generously supported months (in their life), after which benefits tail off sharply to breadline. MoD needs a heafty reduction. We have the second most expensive military globally, paid for by the 5th biggest economy... (with the 24th best education system).... Frankly the numbers don't stack up, why are our priorites so wrong? We simply can't afford to involve ourselves in overseas warfare any longer - defence and nothing but defence, should be the MoD's remit.

I'm not sure how it can conclude in a positive way for the west. Afganistan's problems are unlikely to be solved by the current effort. Also agree with cutting civilian numbers. Central government employs far too many people, some of whom are hard working and talented; many I fear are employed to keep the unemployment numbers low!
