Thedelldays Posted 21 October, 2009 Share Posted 21 October, 2009 Who else is bored of hearing or Reading about how it is the Americans fault that Liverpool are in this mess. It is rafa's team now. People go on about his net spend but this summer he spent £36m on an injured midfielder and a right back. Over the years he has brought in so Manu average players and moved them on. Nunez kromkamp josemi Garcia traore dossena el zhar Lucas skertl intange Leto much of his net spend are a result of shipping players like that above on after being shown up fo being poor. I read somewhere that the same sort of money spent on kuyt babel Johnson Lucas n'gog reira was spent on ashley young defoe modric vermaelen vidic owen dunne
krissyboy31 Posted 21 October, 2009 Share Posted 21 October, 2009 Said on SSN that he has signed 76 players since he's been there. For the last 18 months I haven't been able to understand the blind loyalty the koppites have had for him.

For the last 18 months I haven't been able to understand the blind loyalty the koppites have had for him. Indeed... Some scousers have been moaning that he has no money and need a striker and are too skint to get one. Hold on, where are Keane, crouch and Bellamy? Most of his net spend seem to be a result of his revolving door policy.
S-Clarke Posted 21 October, 2009 Share Posted 21 October, 2009 I must admit, he has signed some utter utter dross. If you want a successful team you can't really run the transfer policy rafa has. His best buy, far and away, has been Torres. Where the hell would they have been in the last couple of years without him? I mean, liverpool are probably on par with aston villa/tottenham when Torres and Gerrard are out - that says alot for his ''squad'' additions. They are just not at the level, which is why they've lost 4 out of the last 4. He is starting to bug me a little bit, as he seems an extremely stubborn individual that just sticks with the same systems (zonal marking in particular) when it just isn't working with the group of players he has. He'll be gone by the end of the season IMO.
hamster Posted 22 October, 2009 Share Posted 22 October, 2009 This is interesting to me actually. I can't help thinking that we are for the the first time in quite some time 'marching'' , upwatds and marching together too. I can see a really bright future for the supporters of Southampton FC. If anyone ever asks you what it is like to be a Saints supporter, tell them to read any post on this forum. Tell them to read this thread. tell them we are lolling at teams who have spent hundreds of millions of pounds on transfers. We can blame anyone we want for it, but there can surely be no denying that we are by far THE MOST HAPPIEST supprters in the World. Come on, who is not happy?
