You do realise this is a Roland Emmerich movie right? :D

He doesn't really do substance, but you will get a f*ckload of special effects and huge action scenes.

Good popcorn fodder, but if you're looking for a philosophical message behind the film you'll be searching for a looooooong time.

Saw the trailer for this on the big screen the other day (prior to being scared ****less by Paranormal Activity)

Be worth watching for the effects I'm sure, if you can stomach the terrible acting, plotline and dialogue that will ensue.

Well if it's from the same director as Independence Day it should be worth watching first time round at least. I just don't get what it is about Independence Day... It's undoubtedly an utterly sh1te film, but I just can't help but sit and watch it every time it is on TV. WHY!?

Because deep down you like the idea of major US cities being nuked? Are you a terrorist?

Have just watched it,really surprised me how good it was.

Full of CGI, obviously, but they balanced it out with some good little 'personal' storylines,Which padded out the film well.

Leave your brain at the door and just go on a real rollercoaster ride.

Very entertaining.

Breathtaking sequences at times.
