saint lard Posted 11 September, 2008 Posted 11 September, 2008 I am certainly not confident of coming away from this one with anything. I would be delighted with a point. As currently being discussed on another thread we have some injury worries, defensively,so the team changes in this dept will be crucial,QPR are a tall and physical side but also have pace. They do have a suspension to a fairly influential figure in their forward line i believe. Oh,and for the superstitious,it's live on sky. QPR 3-1 Saints. Hope i'm wrong.
Mr X Posted 11 September, 2008 Posted 11 September, 2008 we could potentially be in the relegation zone on sunday, I know its still early times but........
saint lard Posted 11 September, 2008 Author Posted 11 September, 2008 Emmanual Ledesma is the player suspended for QPR.
saintbob40 Posted 11 September, 2008 Posted 11 September, 2008 1-0 Saints. No liquid lunch either....
Flyer Posted 11 September, 2008 Posted 11 September, 2008 1-0 to QPR. Tomassi on 68 mins He wont be playing.
Leigh Leicester Saint Posted 11 September, 2008 Posted 11 September, 2008 QPR - 2, Saints - 1 The Sky curse will rear its ugly head again.
ottery st mary Posted 11 September, 2008 Posted 11 September, 2008 (edited) Saints win 3-1 but only if you play Cork and Wotton. Oh yeah, with the other nine as well, it might help. Edited 11 September, 2008 by ottery st mary
Toomer Posted 11 September, 2008 Posted 11 September, 2008 The Sky curse has got to change 3 - 2 Saints.
Snowballs2 Posted 11 September, 2008 Posted 11 September, 2008 We are not strong enough in experience, too many youngsters with little knowledge of this league a 4-0 drubbing
phatangsaint Posted 11 September, 2008 Posted 11 September, 2008 been the last two years which were 2-0 and 3-0 wins so WE WILL WIN 4-O, its maths
Arizona Posted 11 September, 2008 Posted 11 September, 2008 I'm going to be optimistic and say 3-1 to QPR.
Saint Bri Posted 11 September, 2008 Posted 11 September, 2008 Well I gave England to beat Croatia - so...Saints to beat the sky jinx and QPR 2 0
Saint Lindford Posted 11 September, 2008 Posted 11 September, 2008 Think that we are good enough to get something out of the game so 1-1 or maybe 2-1 Saints
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 11 September, 2008 Posted 11 September, 2008 No idea how it will turn out, just hope for a win. Just a side issue about the posting on this thread, Lots of people jump up and down and berate Alpine for his so called "negative" posting but just look at the negative forecasts on here... Are those posters going to be mocked and abused?

Are those posters going to be mocked and abused? Alpine always means well and more often than not he is right. Especially when he agrees with me. He is a fellow poster/Saints supporter and entitled to his say. Come on you Gielguds, go with the flow.
Bridge Posted 11 September, 2008 Posted 11 September, 2008 Hi, Sorry for this. I am trying to start a new tread but I cannot yet because it has not been activated. I have a terminal illness and was wondering if any like-minded people would like to travel the world with me. I would like to go all over the planet. If you are interested please contact me. Come on you Reds

Dalek2003 Posted 11 September, 2008 Posted 11 September, 2008 Depends on the weather and the surface of the pitch. Heavy pitch and poor weather 3-0 to QPR
saintrich Posted 11 September, 2008 Posted 11 September, 2008 Cerny Ramage Connolly Stewart Delaney Ephraim Rowlands Mahon Parejo Cook Blackstock Gillett will break Parejo and Cook's legs and probably get sent off, but they'll have no decent players left. I don't know why we are 'cursed' on sky... I can remember us winning 1-0 vs cardiff, 3-2 vs burnley and drawing 1-1 vs west brom on sky last season... hardly a curse... we will win 2-0.
LGTL Posted 11 September, 2008 Posted 11 September, 2008 We seem to do quite well up there, but I don't have a ****ing clue to be honest. Who does with Saints nowadays?
Bailey Posted 11 September, 2008 Posted 11 September, 2008 After the defeat to Blackpool I'm hoping the players will be out to prove a point and bounce back in style. However, my head says we will struggle and I think the best we can hope for is a point. QPR 2 - 1 Saints Love to be proved wrong mind.
BlackCrowe Posted 12 September, 2008 Posted 12 September, 2008 QPR fan here. Please stop predicting a Saints loss as it will backfire on us and you will win. Also up until we beat Stoke last season, the Sky curse belonged to us so don't think you have the monopoly on bad juju. Finally - ridiculous that you are being charged £25/£30 for a game that is live on Sky - if ever there was a match to drop prices to say £15/£20, then this was it. I am incredibly excited about the new era at LR but the commercialisation of QPR is going to take some getting used to. Hope you bring many on Sunday, always a good atmosphere against the Saints. Toodle-pip. Ps. By the way, The Springbok pub right next to the ground on S.Africa Rd is now a home fans only pub for some strange reason since the start of this season, in case that's where you have previously drunk on matchdays (many away fans did).
eelpie Posted 12 September, 2008 Posted 12 September, 2008 I'm very much looking forward to seeing how Dexter compares with David McGoldrick up front, and Fitz Hall and the QPR defence with ours. These are the key areas imo. If Saints can play like they did against Birmingham we could shade it. But we don't have Thomas who was a rock in that game, so I fear 2-1 to QPR. Should be a cracking game. Can't wait.
SaintMike Posted 12 September, 2008 Posted 12 September, 2008 I think it will be a close game....one goal in it either way!
BlackCrowe Posted 12 September, 2008 Posted 12 September, 2008 No Fitz Hall this weekend - injured. Dex is rocking at the moment - his workrate is phenomenal and the goals are going in with some regularity. I agree with saint mike - one goal in it.
Gudz Posted 12 September, 2008 Posted 12 September, 2008 1-0 to Saints. Total football shall prevail.
VectisSaint Posted 12 September, 2008 Posted 12 September, 2008 I think Saints will win 2-1. Then Bernie and Flavio will complain to the officials, and the match will be awarded to Ferrari.
Wildgoose Posted 12 September, 2008 Posted 12 September, 2008 I have a sneaking feeling it could be 1-1 In which case I will be very happy!
Secret Site Agent Posted 12 September, 2008 Posted 12 September, 2008 QPR - 2, Saints - 1 The Sky curse will rear its ugly head again. Got to agree, it'll be Saints to score in the first 10 mins, then QPR just before the break, then QPR again on 70 mins against a run of play. Then Saints will outplay them again with 12 shots on target but hit the woodwork and saves. There will also be a cracking goal from distance at a Saints corner by spiderman which will be ruled off-side. McGoldrick will get a yellow card for arguing with the ref. I also see Theo being hailed the saviour of English football and failing to score in the next to games. I'm mystic mogg, thanks for coming and keep watching the sky, where you'll see all the stars shine.
RoswellSaint Posted 12 September, 2008 Posted 12 September, 2008 1-0 Saints. I get to watch my second game of the season - thank you, Setanta.
oggiee Posted 12 September, 2008 Posted 12 September, 2008 4-1 QPR and i very very rarely predict a saints loss. :-(
