Dog Posted 18 October, 2009 Share Posted 18 October, 2009 I was just wondering what other people thought on eating vermin was. If you haven't had the pleasure I suggest that you go out and sample some. Most decent restaurants serve vermin of some form, it's free range and delicous. Out of 10 my marks would be: Rabbit 7, Pigeon 10, Crow 5, Badger 9, Hedgehog 8, Fox 3, Jay 9, Squirrel 10.
St Landrew Posted 18 October, 2009 Share Posted 18 October, 2009 (edited) I've eaten Rabbit, Pigeon, Crow and Squirrel. Never had the rest on your list. However, just to expand the odd theme a bit, I've had Crocodile, Kangaroo and Ostrich. And of course, Shark. The Kangaroo and Ostrich [9] were superb; the Shark [7] was pretty damn good, and the Crocodile [1] was yuck. Oops... eaten Horse [9] in France, which was also excellent, and Frogs legs many, many years ago, when I was young and naive. Again, superb [9], but once was enough, as I soon learned how they met their fate. Edited 18 October, 2009 by St Landrew

hamster Posted 18 October, 2009 Share Posted 18 October, 2009 Talking about Hamster, there's a bloke on another forum I occasionally pop across to called The Hamster. Not you is it..? I'm not really a fan of titles, so no I am not The Hamster, on any site anywhere. Just plain, simple old 'hamster', not even capitalised. Where pray is this otrher site SL? I like to join site's as 'hamster' but invariably that cipher is not ususally available.

Guest Dark Sotonic Mills Posted 19 October, 2009 Share Posted 19 October, 2009 Is it true that the common badger is our largest mammal or something like that? I think that cows and horses are a tad larger IMO. They are however the largest native carnivore.

saint francis Posted 19 October, 2009 Share Posted 19 October, 2009 I've eaten winkles before, but didn't really like them. They have recently been listed on the National Official Vermin Register on the basis that they eat sand from the beach, contributing to coastal erosion. Dog, 3 questions; are your badgers for fighting, when is the next 'meet', and mrs hamster says can she have pick of the litter please? they are cute aren't they.
