We've got a further 600 - http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/TicketNews/0,,10280~1830960,00.html

So we now have 3,100 tickets - Brighton were given the whole of the East Stand (http://www.leytonorient.com/page/HomeTickets/0,,10439~1578698,00.html). Just checked their stadium guide bit & the East Stand hols 3,592 so I wonder why they haven't given us all of it too

Maybe with the extra segregation it only holds 3,100? Charlton must have a full allocation in Orient's biggest attendance but only took 2,794.

Didn't think it was joined to any other stands.

As i thought. Oh well, 3k + is still a great effort to be taking up there.

Thanks for putting me right

I was going from a 30 year old memory, it will be great to go to Brisbane Road again, it holds brillant memories for us old boys

and lasses please :-)

lol - and lasses...of course. ;) Wouldn't want to upset our wonderful legion of female footy fanatics! Seriously - that is a wonderful away following for any club in this division. We could have (and almost certainly will have) 3,100 fans at the game. If the boys reward that with yet another 3 points - the knock-on effect for SMS should add a couple of thousand bums-on-seats as well as ££££'s in the coffers. Top stuff!

Ordered 4 tickets including travel this afternoon at about 2pm and the guy on the phone said there were only 11 tickets left! Guessing that may have been before the latest allocation of 600 came through though? Either way it should be an awesome day out! Bet we will drown the home fans out too with our singing! COYR!

I think we also need to sing out...

..."i've got a shed thats bigger than this...i've got a shed thats bigger than this...its got a door and a window, a door and a window, i got a shed thats bigger than this"

Remember singing it at coventry the first year they moved into the ricoh, was a pretty good laugh!!!

One of the worst football songs of all time.

Is that not their main stand,or is it a replacement for the terrace we crammed full in 1978 when we clinched promotion and the wall collapsed ?

They've had their ground completly redeveloped in recent years. I suspect the terrace you are talking about used to be where the new North Stand was? A open bank of terracing.

This is what the ground looks like now anyway:

Wouldn't mind living in one of those flats that sit in the corner of the ground, that would be cool.

Is it possible as we are taking 3,000+ that we could be split into two grounds, i.e the one behind the goal AND the main stand? Does anyone have their ticket to hand so that they can see what stand it says they are in?

urrently away supporters are housed in one side (towards the South End) of the Main Stand, where there are a couple of supporting pillars that may impede your view. Around 1,000 fans can be accommodated in this area. I have been to Orient a number of times and have always been impressed by the state of the pitch. Even in January it is immaculate and at the start of the season you could almost play snooker on it! The Shire Foods Chicken Balti Pie (£2) is available inside.

Mick Hubbard adds; 'Brisbane Road (aka the Matchroom Stadium) is a fairly good ground these days. However the newish West Stand, must be one of the ugliest in the league. It looks attractive from outside the ground, but the inside is a bit of a carbuncle. The lower tier is normal seating but these sit beneath a bland set of offices and hospitality boxes. Overall, I found Orient to be a friendly place, and a good place to watch a game. With the tube station being nearby, and only a few stops from the City, it is easy to access. We got on a tube after the game in no time at all. A small queue does form from the direction of the ground, but we walked past this and simply walked into the station from the other side

found this though it only says 1000

You might do when you see the surrounding area to Brisbane Road.

sour mash, have to disagree, when you go to some of the sh**holes in this league its a great song to sing, and a laugh, get out more young man and enjoy yourself with saints.cant wait for orient, with the support we are taking it will feel like a home game.coyr

1) The song sounds rubbish, everyone I know cringes when its sung.

2) I personally much prefer these "s***holes" we're going to this year over the Reebok Stadium, Pride Park etc etc.

3) If we can't think of anything better to sing, we should give up now really.

FWIW can't wait for Orient, all day on the beer and 3000 Saints stood up roaring the team onto another win :)

So no terracing left then, thats a shame. Been to LO loads over the years watching Plymouth or Brighton and the away end is always moving around the ground, haven't been since its been done up. Barry Hearne is known to accomodate a good away crowd by turfing the local out so it would be good to get the whole of the East Stand. I went there a few years back with Brighton and they were given the whole Oliver Road stand when it was terracing and the home fans were moved to the uncovered away end. The roof made a terrific noise, when can make more noise than them so it should be a good atmosphere and hopefully another three points.

I saw them play Crewe in early 09 from roughly the spot that pic is taken.

The away support that day was about 150, dotted around the remains of the middle of that crumbling stand.

Orient have a smart looking training facility across the road and the main stand that was rebuilt is good, the rest of the ground is pretty average, I don't recall any great noise, and by taking that number, we will own the ground!

it was the only match in London that day due to the bad weather.West Ham turned up,bit of a pitch invasion at the end,5000 saints there and it was on MOTD.Watched it on espn a couple of months ago.wasnt it 1985?

I remmber orient in the cup very well....jampacked we were, urine flowing down the terracing people couldnt mopve and noone knew where the bogs where anyway...started off loads of the old time songs too..."i carnt read" etc, lots of trouble and yes the rumour was some got stabbed, got bushwhacked by four guys on the bridge outside with my mate but gave good account of ourselves...was wearing my cut-off faded jean jacket with winged saints hells angel style on the back plus other saints "patches"..was like a walking target i guess but didnt give a toss those days following saints........if the atmosphere is half as good as that then this will be another memorable away day...
