On the positive side for Portsmyth they did managed to sell out their toilet of a ground for the first time this season.

I don't know who they have got next at home but I expect normal service will resume with the club giving away 3,000 tickets to school kids and still be a few thousand short of full capacity.

That blows carp ho's argument out of the water , according to him it was the ticket prices that kept fans away, win one and as if by magic they find the money !! fairweather end of.

Could not agree more.Having to endure the **** of working in Pompey.I cannot believe how quiet they are all now.Not a ****ing word.Last season they were full of it but now oh so quiet.

Even giving away thousands of tickets to kids they still cannot sell out.

The best thing is that the **** that has bought them now is even more dodgy than the last ****.

Peter Storrie at the helm oh dear.

I wondered why the bell ringing stopped midway through the highlights on MOTD, found out this morning that their No1 fan was thrown out... something to do with an A4 Judas poster.
Im told as a punishment he has to turn up to the next 5 games..a bit harsh

so Redknapp is welcomed back after his demolition of their club's structure,

Storrie who drove the bus over the cliff on a huge wage and then gave players to Spurs is a hero,

and they had their pictures taken with Al Fahim as he saved them....

All this on the back of the fairytale about Maradona and the Galacticos on their way to launch the state of the art training facility and a 50,000 seater world cup venue floating on someone else's land in the harbour...

And the actual progress thus far?

Player exodus, wages missed, crippling debts, 8 losses out of 9, Finnan signed, strikers who wouldn't get in the Salisbury squad (sorry Nick) leading the line, and as for the stadium progress, Manadaric knocked down a small shed about four years ago.

So they have a small gap between spin and reality, yet they keep on buying the 'storries'.

Neutral observers might suggest that Harry played a key role in their financial implosion, Storrie has his own interests at heart and was at the helm for the meltdown, the stadium ain't happening, Al Fahim was obviously a fantasist from day one, the new bloke is going to borrow and whack the debt up again if a bank allows, and Finnan and the strikers were desperate bargain basement purchases.

Also Maradona isn't coming, nor are the Galacticos, and the stadium in the harbour plan was insanity on every level.

But there is good news for the blue few who have bought every one of these fairytales without question - that shed that Mandaric knocked down as a PR stunt? It's still down.

As for welcoming back Redknapp - time for some fresh blood in the gene pool methinks as the mental agility to form reasonable thought seems to have skipped a generation.

bottom of prem, even id take league 1 of rock bottom

Then you are sadly deluded, long term, we are the better prospect.... at the moment.

I hope the skates continual tale of woe will carry on but i expect eventually they will sort them selves out.

As for there position, they are playing prem football, and if by some miracle they survive then next years sky money as well.

We on the other hand, are in league one, a league of nowhere, the local radio stations cannot even really be bothered to play any match coverage, you will never hear any snippets of transfers in the tabloids, as well, cos they don't care. And we have lost to swindon... in the league !!!!

Yes, for once i can actually say that our future is secure and bright, i have a reason to believe, but we are still a while away from the promised lands.

Aye there'soffi a portsmouth chap in our office who insists that ML only bought the club and not the stadium. Therefore we still have mountains of debt.

I try to tell him otherwise but he won't have any of it!

NC stated at the Solent Forum that Saints were one of the few debt-free clubs in English football. Who is best placed to know??
