brightspark Posted 17 October, 2009 Posted 17 October, 2009 a lot of nerves... Pardew needs a good team talk, and we need to emulate the 2nd half performance at Southend. We should be alright.... We haven't messed up a 2 goal lead so far this season (despite only being tested 3 times)!!!
the saint in winchester Posted 17 October, 2009 Posted 17 October, 2009 so .. been away from the keyboard, but I see things are going quite well then? Are we bossing it? Or pretty even, just that we have scored two?
Dalek2003 Posted 17 October, 2009 Posted 17 October, 2009 Long way to go yet. We need to be professional. Snuff them out in the first 1o minutes and hoopefully get a third before closing the game down and running down the clock.
Plumstead_Saint Posted 17 October, 2009 Posted 17 October, 2009 Should have been 3 or 4-0, Lambert hitting woodwork, but Oldham starting to get more into it last few minutes of 1st half.

Saint_clark Posted 17 October, 2009 Posted 17 October, 2009 what he said, but with Oldham scoring a late late late late goal to make it 3-1 From a penalty that the ref get's completely and horribly wrong.
Bailey Posted 17 October, 2009 Posted 17 October, 2009 Could do with an early goal to kill Oldham off. If we let them back into it, old habits could come back to haunt us.

Snuff them out in the first 1o minutes and hoopefully get a third before closing the game down and running down the clock. Wonders will never cease, Saints 2-0 up away from home And Dalek doesn't mention you know who We must have turned a corner!
sussexsaint Posted 17 October, 2009 Posted 17 October, 2009 Jesus this chap even made the balloon goal sound boring!!
.comsaint Posted 17 October, 2009 Posted 17 October, 2009 Oldham will come out gunning for an early goal & leave themselves a tad thin at the back. If we can get that killer 3rd goal - I'll be a very happy chappy!
Saint_clark Posted 17 October, 2009 Posted 17 October, 2009 Jesus this chap even made the balloon goal sound boring!! "deflection off a ballooooon!"
SO16_Saint Posted 17 October, 2009 Posted 17 October, 2009 shows how good a result ours was at Southend. They're winning 2-0 Vs Bristol Rovers
sussexsaint Posted 17 October, 2009 Posted 17 October, 2009 Nervous 45minutes on its way Nah!! more goals for us
Legod Third Coming Posted 17 October, 2009 Posted 17 October, 2009 Is it significant that we beat Southend 3-1 and they are now beating Bristol Rovers 2-0??

S-Clarke Posted 17 October, 2009 Posted 17 October, 2009 shows how good a result ours was at Southend. They're winning 2-0 Vs Bristol Rovers it was a brilliant result, one of the toughest away games of the year and we did it easy.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 17 October, 2009 Posted 17 October, 2009 Is it significant that we beat Southend 3-1 and they are now beating Bristol Rovers 2-0?? no HTH
sussexsaint Posted 17 October, 2009 Posted 17 October, 2009 I suspect at some point Dave Merrington will write down we could do with a third goal and then tell us about it
iansums Posted 17 October, 2009 Posted 17 October, 2009 Great picture of Harry Redkrap on the BBC Homepage, they've caught him mid twitch
Saint_clark Posted 17 October, 2009 Posted 17 October, 2009 Lallana plays the ball to Waigo, who can't get it down quick enough and it's cleared.
Window Cleaner Posted 17 October, 2009 Posted 17 October, 2009 it was a brilliant result, one of the toughest away games of the year and we did it easy. perhaps losing at home to BR wasn't a very good result either. Think the whole set up got a good shaking up from top to bottom after that (or so it is rumoured).
SO16_Saint Posted 17 October, 2009 Posted 17 October, 2009 i think Phil Thompson just came on live TV!!!!
ericofarabia Posted 17 October, 2009 Posted 17 October, 2009 Wotton tries from 35 yards ... they all want a piece of the goal action
Thedelldays Posted 17 October, 2009 Posted 17 October, 2009 This is a great truly so far. Dare we dream of the playoffs? Win this one and I will be well and truely wobbling on my pessimistic perch

Saint_clark Posted 17 October, 2009 Posted 17 October, 2009 Why did merrington whisper "Lallana and Lambert have been outstanding today"? Is it some big secret that we can't let anyone know about?
ericofarabia Posted 17 October, 2009 Posted 17 October, 2009 I just have to LOL everytime Merrington speaks, its like he's whispering you a secret that nobody else should hear.
brightspark Posted 17 October, 2009 Posted 17 October, 2009 Why did merrington whisper "Lallana and Lambert have been outstanding today"? Is it some big secret that we can't let anyone know about? Just in case any scouts were listening maybe...

We've been improving all season but the miserable naysayers wanted to prove different.
