Sounds like Spiderman is having a great game.

4 mins injury time.

sounds like he's playing with players, in a formation that suits him.

he knows that wotton is behind him to break it up if needs be...

how the **** did it go from their free kick, to a chance for Lambert? 1min full of woffle from him then.

come on - solent can do better than this...?

Makes me want to cry to be honest. Terrible.

Merrington is still to come out with his "obvious statement of the day".

Anybody got the Skates game on satellite?

Watching it through t'internet.

Fairly even game. Skates were best side in first 20 mins but Spurs have improved.

Dindane should have scored at 0-0 but missed an absolute sitter (think I may have mentioned it!)

"Saints won't want to concede" at some point in the second half. Guaranteed.

Yes but not watching it as I'm on here !!

I get a tough choice, the wireless link keeps dropping if I go to the lounge to watch the Satellite....

So am just sitting by the printer doing double sided emergency brochures for Gitex.... Almost as monotonous as the commentator

that's brilliant

didn't that happen in a game last season? or something similar

In a cup game, Man City V Sheffield United I think.

Cross came in, the ball went missing in amongst the balloons and when it came out the other side the striker was the quickest to react.

Is it too soon or too late to suggest that our season is at last properly underway..?

The former my old friend. Another couple of wins on the trot however & even I will start to believe! ;)

At the game. Brilliant performance so far. Totally outclassed them. Noone realised the free kick went in. Very satisfied. Need to keep attacking, let them back in the game after we scored a second. Defence is a rock so far. Papa need's to get in the game more. Ricky's song catching on!

I know exactly how you feel mate. 4 or 5 years of misery takes a lot of undoing. But this feeling isn't bad at all.

Great to be on a winning run for a change - altough Wotte did get three wins in a row... ;-)

I see Colchester will go top as it stands (although Leeds two games in hand)

Also note that Leeds are the only team in the leagues not to have lost this season

Aim for the top!

Happy days are here again, we're 2 up and the Skates are 2 down. And by the sound of it, we ought to have had another couple. Confidence is high and Lambert hit the bar from inside the centre circle just in the Oldham half. What a goal that would have been!

This squad playing this formation seem to get better match by match because they are growing to know how their team mates play and the level of passing and the innovation of the play is making it increasingly hard for teams to live with us. Naturally, as this is the Saints, there is still the niggling doubt that we might yet still throw it away, but there is also the growing feeling that we might have turned a corner at this level.

Give it about another 50 minutes, and if we win then I'm with you on that :)

Regardless of what happens in the next 45 minutes it's bloody obvious to me that we're on our way.

Agree. In recent weeks we have been playing more like a team than I have seen us in years. It all started at the Bristol Rovers game, and we have not looked back since then. Although Connolly is obviously an excellent signing for us, I am a little concerned that bringing him into the side may upset this formation that is obviously working so well for us at the moment. But obviously it is great to have another option!

Time to switch to 4-4-2 and bring on Connolly. The 4-man midfield would have more control of the game and the two strikers would increase the threat pushing Oldham back. But what do I know..........
