miserableoldgit Posted 16 October, 2009 Posted 16 October, 2009 I am so looking forward to tomorrows Polish Speedway GP. Jason Crumps horrific injury has opened the door for Gollob or Sayfutdinov to snatch the World Championship from him. Final GP tomorrow, Gollob and Sayfutdinov unpredictable and Crump almost back to fitness and ultra determined. Has the makings of a great GP. Can`t wait!!
chrisobee Posted 16 October, 2009 Posted 16 October, 2009 Crump certainly deserves to be champion and I'll be rooting for him. Belle Vue fell to pieces when he got injured sparing Poole the embarrassment of a relegation play off ride. If he is close to full fitness I'd expect him to clinch the title with a bit to spare especially after managing 4 points in Italy when clearly in pain.
miserableoldgit Posted 17 October, 2009 Author Posted 17 October, 2009 Yes he can!! He may be an Aussie but he is a real racer and all round good bloke. He deserves his victory after his injury. Good also to see Leigh Adams on the rostrum in his last GP. I look forward to seeing Crumpy at the Millenium Stadium next July.
chrisobee Posted 18 October, 2009 Posted 18 October, 2009 He did very comfortably, by 15 points.Nicki Pedersen won the Grand Prix.

itchen_dan Posted 18 October, 2009 Posted 18 October, 2009 Congratulations to Crumpy! Thoroughly deserved after his recent injury! Cant wait to see Holder in it next year!!!

Sorry I was making the point that Nicki Pedersen was not popular with the crowd even though he won last nights GP. He should be used to it because he is always controversial and ruthless in his riding and does not worry about being popular.

chrisobee Posted 18 October, 2009 Posted 18 October, 2009 Holder is a great prospect for next years GP series. He is, was a real star in a disappointing season for Poole. He has a really aggressive style of riding but fair which is great to watch.
miserableoldgit Posted 19 October, 2009 Author Posted 19 October, 2009 Nice to see Mark Webber give Crumpey a good name check in his post race interview yesterday.
St Landrew Posted 19 October, 2009 Posted 19 October, 2009 Nice to see Mark Webber give Crumpey a good name check in his post race interview yesterday. Yes it was, and also to Casey Stoner. As he said, quite a good weekend for Aussies.
