Smirking_Saint Posted 16 October, 2009 Share Posted 16 October, 2009 Nile ranger left because he was bad news and had problems with the law etc i believe, nothing to do with any lack of ability. By all acounts newcastle seem as if they have managed to sort him out however a leopard rarely changes his spots

MerceSaint28 Posted 16 October, 2009 Share Posted 16 October, 2009 I see Vokes looks like he is off to Leeds, real shame, i would of loved him at SMS. Ideally we could loan or terminate Saga's contract and get Vokes in the mix. Imagine the triple headed monster of Lambert, Vokes and Lallana, with Waigo, Connelly and McLaggon straining at the leash. That would be a strong Championship threat, let alone div

the saint in winchester Posted 16 October, 2009 Share Posted 16 October, 2009 Who cares about his physical attributes - from what I have seen he has the making of being an excellent player for us especially at this level and give us some pace and attacking options at least down one side of the pitch. Can't wait for him to be given his chance when he is fully ready. If you sit at the back of the stands everyone looks like Nathan Dyer. A moment of lucidity from our friend here. Regardless of his vital statistics, I'd welcome him back to the first team squad as soon as he is ready.
suewhistle Posted 17 October, 2009 Share Posted 17 October, 2009 I saw him once, can't remember which game: possibly the Reading one when I was over on a visit, and I was impressed at his directness and speed. He didn't seem tall but solid in the way Danny Wallace was. I once spoke to DW at a London Saints social and standing next to him gave a completely different impression to what you saw in the stands: absolutely brick out-house solid!
