I know you need confidence to be a decent boxer, but saying stuff likes that makes he look stupid.
OLYMPIC Posted 13 October, 2009 Posted 13 October, 2009 Also if i remember rightly although he won the fight Froch got knocked down about 3 times in his last fight. Have never rated the bloke and it's easy to mouth off when the weight division he is in is fairly week at the moment.
bungle Posted 13 October, 2009 Posted 13 October, 2009 He only got knocked down once. Don't think he's ever really had the chance to prove how good, or otherwise, he is. He certainly isn't as technically accomplished as Calzaghe, but you certainly can't doubt his chin or temprement. This tournament will be very interesting.
Deppo Posted 13 October, 2009 Posted 13 October, 2009 In the tournament over all, my heart says Froch but my head Kessler.
Seaford Saint Posted 13 October, 2009 Posted 13 October, 2009 I dont like Froch....I really don't. He is unsporting in victory when there's no need. I look forward to him getting beaten
AndyNorthernSaints Posted 13 October, 2009 Posted 13 October, 2009 Confidence, self belief and success as a world champion have no place in British sport :-(
krissyboy31 Posted 13 October, 2009 Posted 13 October, 2009 Confidence and self belief is one thing but to suggest he is as good as Haggler, Hearns and Leonard and wiped the floor with Benn and Eubanks is clearly b*ll*cks!!

Think he would have given Benn and Eubank a good fight tbf. At least he's not avoiding any of the top fighters in his division like alot of world champions. IMO this series of fights make a refreshing change in boxing.
bungle Posted 16 October, 2009 Posted 16 October, 2009 By the way, is anyone bothering to pay the £13 to watch this fight?
Deppo Posted 16 October, 2009 Posted 16 October, 2009 By the way, is anyone bothering to pay the £13 to watch this fight? If I had the money I would.
Saint in Paradise Posted 18 October, 2009 Posted 18 October, 2009 He won on points, 2 judges for and 1 against
Deppo Posted 18 October, 2009 Posted 18 October, 2009 I ended up inadvertently paying for it. Thought Dirrell was a little unlucky with the decision. He was super-quick but I guess didn't do enough in the first half, in which he basically ran. A frustrating fight, really, Froch could barely lay a hand on him and he rarely troubled Froch. At least Kessler and Abraham will both come to fight.
Greedyfly Posted 27 October, 2009 Posted 27 October, 2009 Froch has far more mouth than his ability belies. Arrogance/confidence and boxing go hand in hand but the spurious **** this guy spouts is incredible. Kessler is a far far better boxer and Abraham is a banger...which is essentially what Froch is though not as good. My money is on Kessler for ability and seeing as though the ever fading Taylor had Froch beat not withstanding his ever consistant lack of stamina. THAT said he can only beat what is put infront of him, as Bungle suggested, and as yet that list is fairly short and undistinguished.
