AndyD Posted 10 October, 2009 Posted 10 October, 2009 1/4 Final cup game on sky me thinks............
Edmonton Saint Posted 10 October, 2009 Posted 10 October, 2009 Do they show JPT matches on Sky? I know they showed the final last year but can't remember seeing any other matches.
VectisSaint Posted 10 October, 2009 Posted 10 October, 2009 1/4 Final cup game on sky me thinks............ Its not really the 1/4 final though, of course. It is only the regional 1/4 final, there are still 16 (17 actually) teams left.
Thedelldays Posted 10 October, 2009 Posted 10 October, 2009 Do they show these games on sky? Can't think that anyone really cares to be honest
chrisobee Posted 10 October, 2009 Posted 10 October, 2009 It's possible, there aren't any Champions League matches that week.
Um Bongo Posted 10 October, 2009 Posted 10 October, 2009 Think it will be a Monday night kick off - Think leeds were on TV and it was a monday.
SFC Forever Posted 10 October, 2009 Posted 10 October, 2009 We are not the club we were and we will show everyone interested that we are on the way back.
Thedelldays Posted 10 October, 2009 Posted 10 October, 2009 I will be amazed if is on telly. No one cares about the JPT enough for this game to be on telly
fish fingers Posted 10 October, 2009 Posted 10 October, 2009 Pretty sure Sky showed some games last year apart from the final, seem to remember watching Rotherham knock out Leeds.
RonManager Posted 11 October, 2009 Posted 11 October, 2009 Ouch - 2 of your 3 posts used up and we heard you the first time!
RonManager Posted 11 October, 2009 Posted 11 October, 2009 (edited) Answer the question! I was away trying to find out!! 11/12th November. The OS is asking people what time they want the kick off to be. I've asked for midday in the field at the back of my house so I can watch from the upstairs window. Tea and biccies if anyone wants to join me. Edited 11 October, 2009 by RonManager
ottery st mary Posted 11 October, 2009 Posted 11 October, 2009 Could we not have the game played in Devon..This would make it easier for me.....Maybe move some of our home games down this way....Er in doors will not let me move back to sunny Southampton........midday ko would be nice as well.

Couldn't agree more - we should not have the game played in Devon. Sweet Somerset turf is far far better. Edited 11 October, 2009 by RonManager Clarification of banter
St Marco Posted 11 October, 2009 Posted 11 October, 2009 Leeds vs Rotheram was shown on sky sports and that was a 2nd round tie last year so you never know.
ottery st mary Posted 11 October, 2009 Posted 11 October, 2009 Couldn't agree more - we should not have the game played in Devon. Sweet Somerset turf is far far better. May we suggest a West Country tour in this division....When we return to the big boyzz league we can return tours of exotic places like Sweden and the IOW. or was it Jersey.....Luv you Wildey. COYRs
krissyboy31 Posted 11 October, 2009 Posted 11 October, 2009 I doubt it! We're on the box the following Sunday (Brighton H).
Huffton Posted 11 October, 2009 Posted 11 October, 2009 I will be amazed if is on telly. No one cares about the JPT enough for this game to be on telly They sometimes show Irish league matches, so that blows your arguement clean out of the water:D

Do they still burn tar barrels down your way? I've never fully recovered from the experience 15 years ago. It would really add to the excitment of the match though.
VectisSaint Posted 11 October, 2009 Posted 11 October, 2009 Not sure why there is this ardent desire to be on the box, when we have such a good record in front of the cameras. Please Sky don't choose Saints, we would like to continue doing well.

Tar barrels on bonfire night junior and senior.....Only just survived due to insurance reasons.....Becomes ever more crowded and dangerous...Thats just the drunks on the night........A sight to be seen as you must remember. Good night out with the fireworks.....Similar to Saints:rock: COYRs.

Fergie Posted 11 October, 2009 Posted 11 October, 2009 i hope they dont to be honest otherwise people will stay at home and not come to the game. Will be a tough game and we'll need all the support we can get that night. C'mon lets fill the stadium with the cheap ticket prices and get behind the boys. i came down from chichester for the game on tuesday and will do so again if the prices are the same for the charlton game. COYR!!

An excellent idea! Would save me a 250 mile round trip!
bungle Posted 12 October, 2009 Posted 12 October, 2009 Unlikely to be on tele, because they can't confirm that date yet. The preceeding weekend is FA Cup 1st Round weekend, and I'd imagine there is a very good chance of Charlton or us having our game moved to the Sunday for televised coverage. That would mean the JPT game would likely be moved to the Wednesday.
krissyboy31 Posted 12 October, 2009 Posted 12 October, 2009 Yup!!! http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1823854,00.html
bungle Posted 12 October, 2009 Posted 12 October, 2009 Gah. Was hoping for another 7pm game! Oh well.
S-Clarke Posted 12 October, 2009 Posted 12 October, 2009 damn. (bloody sky..!) we could have had a decent gate for this tie, i'd imagine this will knock a few thousand off.
benjii Posted 12 October, 2009 Posted 12 October, 2009 Yup!!! http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1823854,00.html Brilliant! I hope SFC price this really cheaply now though as I fear the attendance could suffer as a result of the broadcasting of the game. £3 for ST holders. £8 for anyone else. Under 18s free with an adult ticket holder, otherwise all concessions £4.
Colinjb Posted 12 October, 2009 Posted 12 October, 2009 Get in! Will be able to see this down my local! Great news.
iansums Posted 12 October, 2009 Posted 12 October, 2009 Get in! Will be able to see this down my local! Great news. Have you forgotten about the Sky curse?
Matthew Le God Posted 12 October, 2009 Posted 12 October, 2009 The attendance will be much smaller now
Colinjb Posted 12 October, 2009 Posted 12 October, 2009 Have you forgotten about the Sky curse? Nope, it's a great time to break it, don't you think?
iansums Posted 12 October, 2009 Posted 12 October, 2009 Nope, it's a great time to break it, don't you think? Totally agree. At least we didn't lose the Millwall game so perhaps Herr Liebherr has seen off the curse!!
Saint_Si Posted 12 October, 2009 Posted 12 October, 2009 Ah brilliant stuff, thats twice in a week get in!!
M271 Posted 12 October, 2009 Posted 12 October, 2009 They really need to look at the pricing now to ensure a decent attendance, something like: Adults - £10 (£8 in advance) ST Holders - £4 Concessions - £4 Accompanied Child - Free
Matthew Le God Posted 12 October, 2009 Posted 12 October, 2009 Have you forgotten about the Sky curse? People that believe in the Sky curse are idiots
benjii Posted 12 October, 2009 Posted 12 October, 2009 They really need to look at the pricing now to ensure a decent attendance, something like: Adults - £10 (£8 in advance) ST Holders - £4 Concessions - £4 Accompanied Child - Free I've emailed them to similar effect. If enough of us do then maybe they will!
VectisSaint Posted 12 October, 2009 Posted 12 October, 2009 People that believe in the Sky curse are idiots People who believe that the people that believe in the Sky curse are idiots will be cursed as idiots
Matthew Le God Posted 12 October, 2009 Posted 12 October, 2009 People who believe that the people that believe in the Sky curse are idiots will be cursed as idiots This could go on forever
RonManager Posted 12 October, 2009 Posted 12 October, 2009 Gah. Was hoping for another 7pm game! Oh well. Me too. Still, I maybe working in Didcot so I will be able to get back. If not, it's the old Jury's Inn park bench again!
St Marco Posted 12 October, 2009 Posted 12 October, 2009 Yeah the tickets will need to be much cheaper now or it will be deserted. If they made tickets £8 reserved they would still get a nice turn out. Or even something like two tickets for £15. This is the trophy we stand the best chance of winning and we stand a better chance having more fans in the stadium. If we get to the final which is only 3 games away then they could milk it then. I think whoever wins this game will meet Leeds in the final.
action man Posted 12 October, 2009 Posted 12 October, 2009 Tar barrels on bonfire night junior and senior.....Only just survived due to insurance reasons.....Becomes ever more crowded and dangerous...Thats just the drunks on the night........A sight to be seen as you must remember. niceandfriendly Posted 12 October, 2009 Posted 12 October, 2009 Well that's a damn shame. The attendance will now be much smaller than it would have been, and we'll almost definately lose. Although it does mean I might be able to watch it in Vietnam.
