League One Goals

Did anyone else ever watch round-ups of Leagues One and Two and think how unbelievably scrappy the goals were and wonder why no-one ever scored from a mass scramble in the 6-yard box in the Premier League or Championship?

 

I just think it's very reassuring that Tuesday night and last night's goals show how well we have settled into this division!

What about that screamer in League Two (I think?) in which that bloke hit it with his weaker foot and it flew into the top corner, that was special.

True! Personally, though, I don't mind how good or bad the goals are that we score - we can score ugly goals all season for all I care as long as we win games!

It was just nice to have someone (Trotman) there waiting for a slip up and actually wanting to score. Desire! Hoorah!

I think we need to try having more pops from distance. A large number of goals in this league come from long range 'screamers' simply because the keepers arent good enough to read the angle of the shot and adjust themselves to save it like a quality prem/champ keeper would. Fridays 2nd goal came from a long range shot that canonned off of lallanas arse. Sometimes i think we are guilty of trying to over play the passes in the final third.

I think that was the Wycombe full back vs Gillingham that you're referring to?
