saint lard Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 Get in. Great result,Great support. Happy days.
trousers Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 MOTM = the 12th Man - take a bow Saints away fans!!!! Poll please!
Greedyfly Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 GET. THE. ****. IN. Bossing games at home, away all over this now. Love it. Well worth getting up at 5am for. Now back to bed
alpine_saint Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 Superb result. Things looking up. What a difference a week makes...
S-Clarke Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 It didn't sound like Southend were too bad at all, but we were just too good for them...and southend are one of the better teams in this league! Leeds and Huddersfield could not win here, but we have - and comfortably. Excellent - chuffed to bits. That was a proper ''team'' performance.
Saint_Jonny Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 get in love it! sounds like a great performence, saints fans sounded quality, so glad they got to see a good win!
.comsaint Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 Can we play all our away games on a Friday night please? 1 point behind the team above and CLIMBING FAST! Well done lads - truly great result on a sh1tty night & pitch. COYS!
moonraker Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 A very satisfyingresult, the mighty Saints are on the move and its upwards.
Neilza Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 Just saw the Trottman goal on SSN, we are blocked from seeing it clearly as a defender is in the way but it does look like he kicks it out the goalies hands as the defenders look pretty relaxed and don't try to clear the ball.
sfc6mufc3 Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 I'm most pleased that even when the opposition equalise we now fight back and take the lead again - A BIG DIFFERENCE. Good to see goals going in, in positive points after 2 good wins and a new signing this week - Well done Alan and his board/players - top stuff lads!!!!!!
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 Not pushing my luck but things are looking on the up. What a superb show also from our travelling fans, well done you chaps and chapettes!
farawaysaint Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 It didn't sound like Southend were too bad at all, but we were just too good for them...and southend are one of the better teams in this league! Leeds and Huddersfield could not win here, but we have - and comfortably. Excellent - chuffed to bits. That was a proper ''team'' performance. Not even the southend fans think that
Spudders Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 At half time Hummmm, I have a tenner on 3-1 to us, final score. So I'd like a very boring second half 45 minutes with nothing interesting to note. Surey you would forego your tenner for a 1 - 6 thrilling away win though... eh..?? To be honest I'd rather take the 3-1 win, 3 points and the £280. HAAPY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY
Tractor_Saint Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 Sod the bets that I didn't win, what an excellent result Reminder to self, bet the same as what I put in the prediction league - grrr
VectisSaint Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 Great result we could be off the bottom in 8 days time, and we're only 12 points off the play-offs Things are beginning to look a bit brighter.
Kingsbridge Saint Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 Fantastic result - brilliant support. Two league wins in a row and 6 points already for October - looking better and better. Nice job so far AP. Well done Saints.
Gigersaint Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 Best GD in the bottom half of the table too and some of the top half.
ericofarabia Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 Big tks to Phil for the updates, helped make a greart evevning even beteer. Mixed company so no dodgy places !! Manged to hear the last few minutes of Saints fans celebrating .. beautiful Pardew out FFS
Bourno Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 All goals on SSN. Our 3rd was excellent, there's was quality as well.
docker-p Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 Always difficult to get a true idea of the game from the Radio, but it did sound like we were well organised and didn't panic when pegged back.
Saint_clark Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 I need to crack one off. Don't start the second half with out me. Sshhhhhhh.... Yay...sticky! Best part of the day for me.
saintds Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 Could not be happier. Great result, fantastic performance from team and fans alike, squad looking strong, good team spirit, fantastic management team, great attendances, one sensible owner. & 3 points off play off form! COYR!
saints_is_the_south Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 Great win at one of the harder places to go in this league. As already been noted, Huddersfield & Leeds failed to win here so it is a very good win. Sounded very comfortable too, didn't sound like we gave them too many chances. Overall a very professional team performance & win, on to Oldham next week! COYR!
dubai_phil Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 really enjoyed listening to that. My GF is getting really confused, she can't understand my change in mood after listening to the games. Don't get carried away, playoffs aren't in view yet BUT quite a few teams and their fans above us will look at our last 3 league games (yes I include the Brizzle game) and will start to see our style of play and our results and will wonder how to play us. That is going to make a huge change
sussexsaint Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 Brilliant result. Support sounded amazing and 3 wins in a week has got be a record as has 9 goals +5 pens as said above 10th in the 'proper' table but the important thing is we are gettting better all the time. Please join me in a beer and a woot
Saint Fan CaM Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 What a top top result. This team is really starting to get it on now. Great game plan from AP. Can't wait to see next game now.
Colinjb Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 Wow, even though they have games in hand we are only 1 point off the team above us now. We WILL survive and we can push on, the season is looking so much brighter, we finally have a Saints team who can compete. The future is bright....
Kingsland Red Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 Great result, Saints at last have turned that corner. COYR
Micky Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 Great result - thanks to everybody for keeping us 'out of touch' people aware of what is going on, and thanks to .comsaint for more excellent match pics. Tis a little sad when you have to rely on a guy in Dubai, listening to a radio in Hampshire via Skype in order to update some guy in the States, to then give me match info here in NI. But thanks all the same! Guess thats what the call progress eh....!!!
TheSaint75 Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 Great result, sounded like a solid performance with Morgan having a good game. I do wish the fans wouldn't sing so loud, could hardly hear the commentary .....great support. Welll done all
Rasiak-9- Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 Two very good firsts achieved; 1. Away win 2. Sequence of wins on the bounce Delighted to see that we've realised that if the other team equalises, we too are allowed to score a winner
Stepgar Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 Sh!t hot fans tonight, really well done. the rendition of AP red n white army wnet on for god knows how long but it was brilliant.
dubai_phil Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 It has been 6 years. 6 totally wasted years. Of always having football fans give us that look when we tell them who we support. You all know it, that look of mixed condescending amusement and sympathy, But now, finally the first signs, those "Green Shoots" of recovery are appearing. We have a long way to go, but finally after all those years the signs that there is HOPE that we may, just may be on the verge of having a team and a club that we can be proud of. If the Great Man up there is listening, please, just this once, PLEASE don't go and find some excuse to take it all away from us.
saint lard Posted 9 October, 2009 Author Posted 9 October, 2009 Can someone make this a sticky please.

Tractor_Saint Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 Can someone make this a sticky please. Not sure Trousers has any left tbh
stknowle Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 After B Rovers defeat I finally cracked and uttered the unthinkable to a mate - "I really wish i didn't support this useless b of c's but I'm stuck with them". Honestly never said that or anything like it before but I was at my absolute wits end after 5 years of misery.Since then 3 wins on the bounce. I am clearly a motivational genius. COYRS!
Micky Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 At least it diodn't cost you 1200 quid on your mobile - lol What a mong eh - god I larfed, especially when he could have flown home and watched it for that price...! Good ol' Blue Few - you couldn't make it up could ya..!

SuperSAINT Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 Great result boys. Solent were doing a feature where you had to txt in to say who's been AP's best signing so far... There wasn't one particular favourite choice - Trotman, Lambert, Harding, Hammond all got multiple votes - That in itself tells you how well we're currently shaping up.
Brussels Saint Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 AP will probably also quite like the fact that all the goals came from those he rested on Tues and challenged to have big games tonight. Great result, job done. Saints fans sounded brilliant on the radio.
dubai_phil Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 Oh yesy there are thru my beeer( + wine + marherita + champagne ) goggles . Well now all you gotta do is work out your shift rota. Now THAT would be a good flight back together... we'd need wheelchairs at LHR on our way to Wemberly Still glad you saved some strength for the 19th:-)

There wasn't one particular favourite choice - Trotman, Lambert, Harding, Hammond all got multiple votes - That in itself tells you how well we're currently shaping up. I heard that - i voted for Hammond personally, who is turning into my favourite player at the moment. Every single Pard's signing has been spot on and the way in which he has constructed the team has been spot on.... He's added a solid spine right down the middle, full of height and power - then they've worked on the attacking side of the game, it's really coming off. This season could be really good. But i wont get too carried away yet...

A lot of people wewre saying Trotman ..
