Genk Posted 7 March, 2010 Posted 7 March, 2010 yes..he generally plays RB quite a bit...in a team that are fantastic at the mo Yea realised he gets alot of games now. Was interesting watching him vs Bale last night
sadoldgit Posted 7 March, 2010 Posted 7 March, 2010 Have to admit I think my team would struggle to stay out of the bottom three. I agree, weak midfield and defence not good enough.
Thedelldays Posted 7 March, 2010 Posted 7 March, 2010 Yea realised he gets alot of games now. Was interesting watching him vs Bale last night both have come good now...Bale especially even walcott was good yesterday....:smt026
Genk Posted 7 March, 2010 Posted 7 March, 2010 both have come good now...Bale especially even walcott was good yesterday....:smt026 Always believed Bale was going to come good at Spurs even when their fans doubted it. Think he is going to turn into a top top player now.

Weston Saint Posted 7 March, 2010 Author Posted 7 March, 2010 agree...watching him play at the mo..he is probably the best LB in the country on current form... shame he is not englishLB? He is not a left back. Surely Spurs are using him as left of midfield!
Thedelldays Posted 7 March, 2010 Posted 7 March, 2010 LB? He is not a left back. Surely Spurs are using him as left of midfield! they did yesterday..but for weeks/months, he has been LB..since essou-akoto (sp) has been out.. now he is back..will be interesting to see how old arry plays bale

Bale has all the attributes to be a regular in a top 4 team within the next 3-4 years if he continues to develop.
John Cool Posted 7 March, 2010 Posted 7 March, 2010 Matt Mills and Gregorz Raziak both had decent games for Reading today, both worthy of consideration for an ex-Saints eleven, unlike Nigel Quashie who I seem to have mentally blocked out for some reason...
Blandford saint Posted 8 March, 2010 Posted 8 March, 2010 I would rather have Oakley in midfield - still performing near the top of the Championship. Why would you have Scott MacDonald (never made it at Premier League level, now at 'Boro) rather than Kevin Davies (outstanding for Bolton yet again this season)? Beatts would be preferable, also. Wouldn't have Quashie back for a gift - he's a loser.
John Cool Posted 8 March, 2010 Posted 8 March, 2010 I picked MacDonald for his impressive scoring rate for Celtic (forgot he's gone to Boro). Hats off to Kevin Davies for his success with Bolton after he was rather harshly cast off by Saints.
